New apps Einstein@Home w/o "Tuning" Has anyone gotten hours for these yet? My WUProp task is about 3 hours in but some of these have been running for 8 hours so I should have some. :(

You won't get any Hr's for them until Sebastien Posts that the App is out, even then you may have to start over again if it isn't retroactive which seems to happen a lot lately ...

I paused my work until that post comes up in the sticky. I did get one of the tuning tasks. Maybe a resend or something.

Interestingly, I enabled this on one machine (dual hexcore 3GHz xeons ) which previously only got the high freq units, now it pulled down low freq ones.

Interestingly, I enabled this on one machine (dual hexcore 3GHz xeons ) which previously only got the high freq units, now it pulled down low freq ones. At least for the tuning tasks the frequency requirement was removed/adjusted as they were not being completed as fast as the Hi freq tasks.

Amicable Numbers is going to introduce two new apps: one for selective double-checking of current search space, and another one for searching for amicable numbers up to 10^20.

New application Amicable Numbers up to 2^64 (double check) is active Again, it is not being picked up by WUPROP, so I don't know whether to crunch or not...

New application Amicable Numbers up to 2^64 (double check) is active It should be now that Seb posted in the sticky. I had grabbed some tasks and paused them just because they wouldn't count yet.

XANSONS for COD for GPU & CPU are out ...

XANSONS for COD for GPU & CPU are out ... WUProp does not properly capture time for WUs which are processed for 30 secs or less. I ran GPU app for about 6 hours, and WUProp recorded only 0.53 hour. Looks that I have to wait until project will release loner WUs, or find slower GPU. ____________

Hmm interesting. I had setup app_config to run 3x GPUs at once and the mt CPU app on one CPU. <app_config>
<app>
<name>xansons_gpu</name>
<gpu_versions>
<gpu_usage>0.33</gpu_usage>
<cpu_usage>0.1</cpu_usage>
</gpu_versions>
</app>
<app_version>
<app_name>xansons_cpu</app_name>
<plan_class>mt_windows</plan_class>
<avg_ncpus>1</avg_ncpus>
</app_version>
</app_config> I thought the point of code tags was to keep formatting? I guess a quote will suffice. <app_config>

Hmm, interesting. My Windows box yesterday was running GPU WUs for few hours, and was keeping small buffer of tasks (about 10) during that time. CPU ones were more scarce, they appeared only from time to time.

I had 23 hours, now 40. So 17 hours in one WuProp task. I don't think it was running the full 6 hours as the queue wasn't kept full. Running 3x does make the tasks last longer but most are still under 30seconds.

I ran GPU app for about 6 hours, and WUProp recorded only 0.53 hour. Check WUprop error log - "facteur correction: 0.533333 (8/15.100000)" You have exceeded the number of CPU threads by almost twice. View configurations for all active tasks for example XaNSoNS BOINC for GPU - 0.975C + 1NV <avg_ncpus>1</avg_ncpus> This is misleading the BOINC task manager, and at the same time WUprop The task should be limited to something similar to "<cmdline> --nthreads 1.000000 </cmdline>" So as not to lose hours and minutes - recalculate the CPU requirements for all tasks (in app_config) so that they do not exceed the actual value by more than 0.99 (8/8.99 = 1.0)

I thought the point of code tags was to keep formatting? I guess a quote will suffice. [pre] doesn't work either. These BBcodes need to be enabled by the project.
