From a post on another thread: Einstein app "Binary Radio Pulsar Search (Arecibo)" is now been recognised by WuProp as "Binary Radio Pulsar Search", but I believe we're talking about the same app.

A REPLY IS REQUESTED ON BEHALF OF ALL WHO ARE ACTIVE USERS AT THIS PROJECT. I alone administer the project. I do not have time to reply to all requests. But generally, I solve problems. Questions 1, 2, 3, 6: Problems should be solved. I migrate database on a second server. Question 4 : ? Question 5: In the future, I will remove this feature. I will re-write application. Hours will be count on each workunit report. Question 7: Data are lost. ____________

I also have a problem with the Binary Radio Pulsar Search (Arecibo) app - when my raspberry pi completes a task, it sometimes giving me many hours - the last 2 WUProp WUs gave me 36 million hours each! Also, Enigma@Home sometimes goes weird, saying I have 0ver 107,000,000,000 pending hours...

I, for one, will miss the pending hours feature. I use it to gauge how much longer (in time) I will need to crunch a project before reaching a certain goal I have in mind. Using the cached WUs, I then can switch projects before I've reached the goal having estimated the amount of time crunching on cached WUs.

I agree, Steve, I like knowing how many hours I have pending, just to see how much I have that isn't completed, as well as knowing when my next goal has arrived - it really would be a shame to see it go, however, I would not let it disappearing put me off crunching for this project.

I would have liked this feature too if it was consistently accurate... ____________

Question 5: In the future, I will remove this feature. I will re-write application. Hours will be count on each workunit report. It looks like you've done this as all my pendings have gone to zero. I found this feature really useful. Can you please rethink this? Thanks S. ____________

With the new application, there are no pending hours.

Ahhh - that clears thing up, Seb - that would be fine, having them automatically added - I was under the impression that, without the pending hour section, you wouldn't know how much you've crunched for an app until the workunit is done...

With the new application, there are no pending hours. I am wondering, since we are getting rid of the pending hours column, would it be reasonable to ask for a column that shows running hours for the previous 24 hours. That is I like seeing where my (recent) cpu time is being spent. I have had on multiple occasions noticed, via the pending hours column, unexpected tasks being downloaded, run and finished while I was away from my computers. ____________

With the new application, there are no pending hours. Excellent Seb! Thank you!

Since the "pending" hours are going away would it be possible to keep the column and put a "X" in it if hours have been added during the past 24 hours? I have projects setup that don't always have work and I use that column to show me when work has started on a project. Then I can move resources.

OK. Well I wasn't going to admit this, but I don't even know which projects I've got crunching w/o the pending hours :). So, Bryan's solution is an excellent alternative. +2

I don't even know which projects I've got crunching w/o the pending hours :) It's the same for everyone who crunches for more than a few projects; it's difficult to see which apps have work, without going to each projects server_status page, and then going round all your systems and checking they are hooked up, New Tasks are allowed in BM and you have selected the apps in your profiles and no new apps have turned up. While you can click on each of your systems from your My Account page and see what has been running in the last 24h, it would be useful if that was tallied up across all of your systems and displayed in the Pending column (which could be renamed to Last 24h). Just saw that Conan recommended this already, http://wuprop.boinc-af.org/forum_thread.php?id=326&postid=2747

I am missing the pending also. It was a good way to quickly evaluate what was going on. A last 24 hour would work just as well. Since many of us have several machines with CPU, GPU, ARM, etc projects running, a single place to give a little feedback went a long way.
