Is there somewhere I can find the UrL for each project? (besides googling the name; I mean straight off this site). Thanks.

Thanks Sergey, your additions have been added below, except the 2 dead QCN projects. For sure there are more projects, but at least we have some sort of clickable list within this forum now.

123Numbers - Project completed
AndersonAttack - Project completed but might return
Najmanovich Research - Project will not return
vLHCathome - Will eventually transition to LHC
XANSONS for COD - in maintenance mode, will return later this year

Also, there's the BOINC test project but I can't remember where the URL is.

GFN is part of PrimeGrid. It's a project that you have to privately sign up for, and they only take users who have some history. It is checking very small GFNs (under 15 which is PrimeGrid's smallest GFN factor).

Interesting. I did a bit of PrimeGrid a while ago but I decided to contribute to mostly WCG, pogs, and Milkyway.

This is stream's server, not PrimeGrid's, so I (speaking for PrimeGrid) have no opinion about access to that server.

This is what stream has to say:

Do you have to be super-active on here to participate(get the invite code and URL) in your project Stream?

Anybody can participate and help the project. The half-closed model was chosen because:

a) this is an experimental project with minimal user support from my side;
b) all found primes will be very small and will not be reported in big lists like top5K. We're doing this just for fun.

If you like to participate, I could send you all necessary instructions.

If you want in, go to that forum thread (http://www.primegrid.com/forum_thread.php?id=6511&nowrap=true#103233) and ask for access. You need PrimeGrid credit (just 1) to post there, but I figure anyone who wants in probably already has PrimeGrid credit. :)

NORLIST has sprung up on the pages. Their page shows this University in Almaty, Kazakhstan as their host

Satbayev Kazakh National Technical University

The IP of the Univ. and the boinc server differs though. Their site is apparently hosted by something in Colorado, although it is a legitimate institution by looking into it. The IP of the actual boinc server is hosted in Kazakhstan though. It looks to be legit. Anyhow, they are doing research in speech recognition.

BOINC Test Project

The Test Project isn't used anymore. Actually, hasn't been used in a long time. :)

For Alpha, if you're interested in testing, here's the official page for that:

http://isaac.ssl.berkeley.edu/trac/wiki/AlphaInstructions

There's actually nothing running there either.

There's a Google mailing list you can join and participate in. No special invitation is needed.

They don't actually do anything there anymore. Use to be a test site for Einstein@home and then they launched the full site and a beta site (Albert). For a whiles they use to run various different things, but it's pretty much inactive now. Last news update was 2010...

Before jumping on a new project, look through the site especially the server status and the forum to see if there's actually something actively going on. There's a lot of these ghost projects popping out of Russia that go dark or just fade away. Seems there's a lot of experimentation with the institutes over there.

Actually, for Talk like a Pirate Day 2016, the Pirates admin surfaced and mentioned that the apps he had on the server weren't even seen as executables any more and suggested he probably wasn't going to find the time to resolve that problem. I have pretty much given up on pirates@home based on that. :(
