Problem with Galaxy S6?
(Message 3232)
Posted 7 Sep 2015 by Thyme Lawn The task you downloaded 20 minutes before your post has completed successfully. It ran "Data collect version 5 v5.03 (android_arm_pie)" but all of the failed tasks before that ran "android_arm_non_pie", so something must have changed to allow the project to tell that the device has to run the PIE version of the application. |

CPDN apps mismatch?
(Message 3047)
Posted 19 Jun 2015 by Thyme Lawn The rename was to allow better identification of the sub-models being run. Some of the recent (and forthcoming) applications include MOSES II (soil) and/or TRIFFID (vegetation) modelling. The AFR application does cover a wider region than the SAF one did. |

Posted 9 Feb 2015 by Thyme Lawn WCG released some Outsmart Ebola Together Beta tasks last week which doesn't show up in the application list. The tasks were added to WCG's generic "Beta Test" application rather than a new "Beta - Outsmart Ebola Together" one because the application name was "beta20". You should see that in your computer activity history. |

Posted 20 Jan 2015 by Thyme Lawn WUProp tasks are validating but hours for tasks seem to be stuck. It's easiest to track with the pending hours for my CPDN work: UK Met Office Coupled Model Full Resolution Ocean 297.67

UK Met Office HadAM3P-HadRM3P Europe 87.83

Where to report missing apps?
(Message 1997)
Posted 12 Feb 2014 by Thyme Lawn I have "Run test applications" selected for MC and the project is mostly sending my computers work for the openMalaria test application at the moment. One of them has picked up a few Branch B tasks recently and they're definitely being recorded here according to the computer's activity over the past couple of days: malariacontrol.net openMalaria: A simulator of malaria epidemology and control (Branch B) 7.55 (4.06%) I got that by going to the Your computers page, clicking the "Activity" link for the appropriate computer and selecting "From" and "To" to generate a report for the last 2 days (a computer's activity is only viewable by its owner). |

Posted 15 Nov 2013 by Thyme Lawn The "granted credit 7.00" is only on the workunit pages because that's the fixed credit for a successfully validated task which ran for 3 hours. zombie67's tasks are being marked as invalid and getting no credit. When a task runs for longer than 3 hours (as some of mine do due to a timed network disable) they are initially granted 7.00 but after successful validation the credit is increased (e.g. 21.78 for a task which ran for 9:20:10). Edit: zombie67's latest task was successfully validated but was still granted no credit, so it's not just because the tasks are being marked as invalid. I wonder if it's a wider problem with v3.50 tasks or if it's happening because there's no CPU type recorded for the computer? |

As it's running BOINC 7.0.27 I'd expect it to be receiving the newer version (my computers are running BOINC 6.12.43 and 7.0.73 and they're only being sent work for v4.08). |

Minimum BOINC version for this project
(Message 1636)
Posted 17 Sep 2013 by Thyme Lawn It looks like there was a fairly short period some time (but not immediately) after the wuprop v4.00 application was released when computers running BOINC 6 were being refused work (despite the fact that work was and still is available for v3.52). The work fetch delay requested by the project caused affected systems to be deprived of work for a day unless they were upgraded or the user requested a manual update. I eventually did this on my Q6600 system which is running BOINC 6.12.43 and I'm no longer planning to 'upgrade' it to BOINC 7. BOINC 6.12.43 doesn't display the "Project requested delay of 86400 seconds" message Curly saw, otherwise I'd probably have tried a manual update before 'upgrading' my laptop (times are UTC+1): 16/09/2013 02:44:29 | WUProp@Home | Reporting 1 completed tasks, requesting new tasks for CPU

Minimum BOINC version for this project
(Message 1623)
Posted 16 Sep 2013 by Thyme Lawn Same here. According to the applications page BOINC 7 is required to run the version 4.00 application. I (very reluctantly) upgraded my laptop to BOINC 7 and it downloaded a new task. It's running under the version 3.52 application which was perfectly happy with BOINC 6, so I don't see why we had to be deprived of work for over 9 hours. I can't upgrade my other system at the moment because it would lose too much work. A WCG CEP2 task is an hour into job #2 and could run for 4 or 5 hours before its next checkpoint. A QMC cleanmobility.now task last checkpointed 4 hours ago and won't perform its next one for at least 6 hours. |

Posted 1 Sep 2013 by Thyme Lawn SERVER HAS NO WORK OR NOT SENDING WORK: Same here, but it only started on the tasks returned 30 minutes ago for me. The server status page currently shows 102 tasks ready to send, a 1 hour transitioner backlog and 400 workunits in the validation queue. The validation queue has increased by 83 in the last 10 minutes, so there's definitely something wrong at the moment. The last tasks returned by my computers have status Completed, waiting for validation and the scheduler replies include the line: <message priority="low">Project has no tasks available</message> Edit: New tasks were received as I was making the post, computers had no WUProp work for 33 and 34 minutes.
