(Message 6590) Posted 5 Apr 2019 by EBM I recently found a project in the Active Projects list, called "SETI@CAMRAS" However, I have several reasons why I believe this project is fake: (As of 10:30 PM EST, 4 April 2019): -31752 Signups, same name format, all within the last 24 hours, and all with the same name format (MorganBundy, JamesLivings, "FirstName LastName Numbers" -The hosts list doesn't have a single host with credit -The participants list has no users with credit Thoughts? :thinking:

2) Message boards : News : Grid computing center (Message 6038) Posted 7 Mar 2018 by EBM My situation: I run 2 instances of WUProp; I have 2 copies of BOINC running on my computer because I want my weaker graphics card to only run Sieving on PrimeGrid. Anyhow, you do realize that even if you had every boinc project on one client, you only need one WUProp account. If I run Seti, WCG, Primegrid and milkyway for an hour and a half each, I get 1.5 hours of runtime for each project. If I am understanding this thread correctly, then you REALLY don't need 8 instances on a 4 core/2core HT host. You don't need a separate boinc client on your computer for every project you want to run.

Their page shows this University in Almaty, Kazakhstan as their host Satbayev Kazakh National Technical University The IP of the Univ. and the boinc server differs though. Their site is apparently hosted by something in Colorado, although it is a legitimate institution by looking into it. The IP of the actual boinc server is hosted in Kazakhstan though. It looks to be legit. Anyhow, they are doing research in speech recognition.
