Just realized I passed 1,000,000 cumulative hours within the last day!
--- and ---
My 13 stars are slowly changing colors

Getting a very small boost every day by using a limited/free virtual machine on Google Colabs.

Information on how to configure BOINC on a virtual Google Colabs session can be found over at the Prime Grid Forums: Google Colab and its free GPUs

Looks like the project finally started to count them in the last few minutes.
It now shows in my hours list.

Missing hours for app "Native Python v2.7 Application (Cross Platform) v1.14 (sse2NoXP)".

Ran and successfully completed 110 tasks on computers over the last aprox 12 hours and it's not showing up in my hours....

I see the automatic announcement from WuProp showing "The application ACT-R cognitive modeling environment using Clozure Common Lisp (Cross Platform) from project MindModeling is active" was automatically posted on 25 Apr 2020, 1:05:47 UTC.

Wondering if WuProp has misidentified what was running on someone's PC?

Good to hear that you have it working now!

Blurf,

Some of the older BOINC version won't attach to most of the projects any longer due to a built-in expired security certificate.

What version of BOINC are you using to attempt to connect?
Is this Win 10 PC a "Low powered" Intel chip?

I just saw Distributed Data and Media Processing project pop up in the new activity thread. Anyone know anything about it? I can't join as they have joining disabled.

I believe it is a CLOSED / PRIVATE project.

I have not been able to find any information about it anywhere and the web sites owner information is hidden by a privacy registration service. https://whois.domaintools.com/moisescardona.me

SETI WILL STOP SENDING TASKS ON 2020-03-31:
Message boards : News : SETI@home hibernation

Message 2035163 - Posted: 2 Mar 2020, 21:16:23 UTC

On March 31, the volunteer computing part of SETI@home will stop distributing work and will go into hibernation.

We're doing this for two reasons:

1) Scientifically, we're at the point of diminishing returns; basically, we've analyzed all the data we need for now.

2) It's a lot of work for us to manage the distributed processing of data. We need to focus on completing the back-end analysis of the results we already have, and writing this up in a scientific journal paper.

However, SETI@home is not disappearing. The web site and the message boards will continue to operate. We hope that other UC Berkeley astronomers will find uses for the huge computing capabilities of SETI@home for SETI or related areas like cosmology and pulsar research. If this happens, SETI@home will start distributing work again. We'll keep you posted about this.

If you're currently running SETI@home on your computer, we encourage you to attach to other BOINC-based projects as well. Or use Science United and sign up to do astronomy. You can stay attached to SETI@home, of course, but you won't get any jobs until we find new applications.

We're extremely grateful to all of our volunteers for supporting us in many ways during the past 20 years. Without you there would be no SETI@home. We're excited to finish up our original science project, and we look forward to what comes next.

Post a message on the BOINCStats/BAM! forums. Does not sound like a problem with this project but with BOINCStats/BAM!

QuChemPedIA
150 users so far.
Lots of WU's available for download at the moment

I think more people would join and more users like myself would continue crunching for this project if the tasks were more reliable / stable, did not run for days on end without a definite end or not crash part way through.

It would be worthless to run more than ONE task per PC at at time for this NCI project.

FROM THE HOME PAGE OF THE PROJECT https://wuprop.boinc-af.org:
About WUProp@Home

WUProp@home is a non-intensive project that uses Internet-connected computers to collect workunits properties of BOINC projects such as computation time, memory requirements, checkpointing interval or report limit.
13) Message boards : Number crunching : Database error (Message 6779)

Noticed the database error message had disappeared and detailed hours are back.

Just tried to get a task for my android device and got a "No work available" message. Also noticing that any web page takes forever to load and took multiple refresh to load the server status page which does not appear to have updated info.

//EDIT:
Appears there Still is a datbase problem:

Saw this error almost 6 hours ago but figuured it was a "temporary issue"... See it is still not fixed. Turning BOINC off network comms on my PC;s until it is fixed so as not to loose any hours.

After a brief look around the "project" web site ... I AGREE things look suspicious.

Will dig into the web registration etc and the underlying code of the site and post more here.

I see a new app on Free-DC missing hours page but no sticky post yet.

Project: E@H
App: Gravitational Wave All-sky search on LIGO O1 Open Data

https://einsteinathome.org/apps.php

Linux, Windows and Mac CPU only.

If you are talking about Gravitational Wave All-sky search on LIGO O1 Open Data (beta test) that is a BETA APP and probably a "fixed" BETA version of the app Continuous Gravitational Wave search O2 All-Sky that they stopped running within the last 2 months or so due to problems with the original app.

The BETA app noted above should automatically show up on list here once someone running Wuprop & the Einstein BETA APP at the same time have successfully returned the WuProp data after 6 hours.

Conan, Thank you for your monthly summaries!

BOINC-Netsoft stats site has a Summary of retired projects which seems pretty accurate. James should be updating the list soon with new entries.

It should fairly easy to copy/paste into a spreadsheet for sorting, formatting, and being able to post the output here.

The list here:

WCG exports aren't really needed for WUProp to collect the data and report it as WUProp isn't really pulling the data from WCG rather from your PC. Or at least that is how I understand it.

That appears to be CORRECT! My WCG project hourly stats are still being updated here at WuProp.
