Dear Sebastian,

I would also like to thank you for the great job you do at managing this site and project. I drop by the home page quite often to check on my contribution for each project I volunteer, and without this project, I probably wouldn't be able to keep a track on how much time I give each app. Thumbs up!

I don't know if this can be fixed or not, but since I got no reply, I give the topic a little bump once again. There is some sort of a glitch with the android app not being able to recognise correctly the Binary Radio Pulsar Search app. In my case, it considered that there were two different apps with slightly different names.

Can you please take a look at it?

Thanks! And keep up the good work.

Einstein app "Binary Radio Pulsar Search (Arecibo)" is now being recognised by WuProp as "Binary Radio Pulsar Search", but I believe we're talking about the same app.

I did a bit more research on this and I found out that project 'Einstein@Home' has recently updated the application 'Binary Radio Pulsar Search (Arecibo') for the platform 'Android runnung on ARM'. Ever since this upate, WUProp has been recognising my contribution to this application with a different name: 'Binary Radio Pulsar Search'. I now have CPU hours accounted to 2 different apps that are actually the same.

There seems to be a new app at climateprediction.net:
UK Met Office HADAM3P (global only) with MOSES II landsurface scheme 7.03

Can you please check it? Thanks

I got some WUs for what seems like a new application from Constellation:

CometTrails Beta: IMEX - Cometary Dust Trails in Space

I am not 100% sure, but I am getting the impression that my Windows machine crunching WUs for:

malariacontrol.net openMalaria: A simulator of malaria epidemology and control (Branch B)

is not getting any credit for those WUs here in WUProp. The WUs have a different name from those regularly seen from malariacontrol.net. The name follows the pattern:

wuBSVperiodic5_xxx_xxxxxxxxxxx_0

where 'x' stands for 1-9 algarisms. I don't see any announcement on new applications from the project malariacontrol.net, so I think this is just a different flavour of Branch B...

Can you please take a look at it?

Thanks!

Ok, I see what my error was. I believed that all Beta WUs were accounted for under the same umbrella here at WUProp.

One question: the original FAH Betas were all Autodock weren't they (I'm not sure about this, but I believe Vina version arrived later). If this was the case, shouldn't 'Beta FAH Autodock' be combined with 'Beta FAH'?

Cheers,

When WCG used just - Beta Test it was for the MCM project

Ok, I was convinced it had been used for other WCG sub-projects as well.

BETA at WCG between sub projects should be counted separately. They are different apps. FAH auto dock and FAH vina are two different apps for the same sub project, so should also be counted separate. Just because they have a single BETA badge doesn't mean they should be lumped together here. So I agree that they need fixed if not tallying correctly.

Your reasoning would be correct if that had been the procedure in the past. As far as I know, I have always seen all hours from Beta WUs, independently for which projects they are associated with at WCG, be accounted for under the same name here at WUProp: Beta Test.

Cheers!

This is not exactly a missing app, but a wrongly placed app (IMHO).

World Community Grid has released a group of Beta tests which are being accounted for as a different app from the already existing WCG Beta app.
Moreover, in this new batch there are beta WUs for 'WCG FightAIDS - Vina' and for 'WCG FightAIDS - Autodock'. The Vina WUs are being considered as a different beta app and the Autodocks seem to not be considered at all.

Can you please fix this?

Cheers!

I just received a couple of WUs from climate prediction, for what seems like a new application, or at least an unlisted application here on WUProp:

UK Met Office HADAM3P Southern Africa 6.09

Could you please check it?

Thanks!

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this info:

Hours are not being properly accounted for for application mini_collatz running on my ATI GPU in a Win64 machine. It looks like it is only counting CPU hours, and not counting GPU hours.

Can you please take a look at this? Thanks.

I can confirm, WUProp app is tracking CPU time instead of wall time.
Collatz Conjecture (collatz) is using 0.02 CPU + 1.00 NVIDIA and the progress of Running time (hours) growth is horribly slow.

I confirm that the problem of counting CPU time instead of wall time also occurs for GPUGrid application in both Linux and Windows clients.

Bummer... :'(

Hi all!

I would like to add my two cents on this issue. I have an ATI HD 5450 dedicated to Collatz. It has been running both mini and regular WUs. However, in recent days, all work done by this GPU has not been accounted for in my stats on WUProp. Apparently, all work done in this GPU is completely ignored.

I would like to know if this is an application problem or an WUProp problem, and what can be done to mitigate this issue.

Thank you!
