1) Message boards : Number crunching : Missing 119+ Hours of credit on one host (Message 1935)
Posted 4 Jan 2014 by Profile x3mEn
I can confirm Hours lose when running PrimeGrid (Genefer) on Windows hosts.
http://wuprop.boinc-af.org/activity.py?hostid=51423&start=1388755983&end=1388864282
shows only 24.00 Hours for PrimeGrid (Genefer), but now this host is running 3 tasks of PrimeGrid (Genefer).
The same thing with http://wuprop.boinc-af.org/activity.py?hostid=59823&start=1388764547&end=1388862485
shows 24.00 Hours for PrimeGrid (Genefer) too, but this host is running 2 tasks...

3) Message boards : Number crunching : Selective stat gathering (Message 1567)
Posted 4 Sep 2013 by Profile x3mEn
For my opinion It's not correct.
This method of gathering (hours from all applications executed by BOINC) is correct for stats for host, but not for BOINC account.

Any application at account stats means at least you tried to crunch this application under the same CPID as WUProp account belongs.

I have an issue about how WUProp is gathering stat about apps holder.
BOINC allows to crunch several accounts simultaneously.
I noticed that WUProp doesn't distinguish for whose account application executes and aggregates all hours to WUProp account stat.

Nobody cares...

To count Pending Hours correct they need to keep figures for every host and
- calculate total Pending Hours by all hosts after every user WU report
- update host's Pending Hours after every host WU report
- delete host's Pending Hours or decrease total Pending Hours after host expired

But it's difficult... so nobody cares.

How can I prove my words?
For example in this way.

My WUProp stats:

My PrimeGrid tasks:

As you can see there are no PrimeGrid 321 LLR tasks in progress.
(there only 1 task completed and waiting for validation, but for WUProp this task has already counted to Running hours as far as I understand)

The same thing with PrimeGrid Genefer.
Anyone can make sure, my PrimeGrid account is opened for viewing:

9) Message boards : Number crunching : Pending Hr's (Message 1243)
Posted 21 May 2013 by Profile x3mEn

You may have to wait up to a maximum of 3 hours (the WUProp WU run time), depending when the a projects work unit uploads.

Noone of my hosts has already crunched PrimeGrid 321 LLR in the last month.
And noone of my hosts has paused tasks of PrimeGrid 321 LLR.

What will your answer after that?

I noticed there is a bug in Pending hours.
I know that noone of my hosts now crunching, for example, PrimeGrid 321 LLR, but there reporting 11.42 Pending hours in PrimeGrid 321 LLR.
The same thing with PrimeGrid Genefer.

Would you please explain or fix this bug?

BilBg, you are wrong and right simultaneously.
Wrong because I have no 50 free CPU cores, and right because I confused gpu and cpu usages.
<app_config> <app> <name>collatz</ name> <gpu_versions> <cpu_usage>0.02</cpu_usage> <gpu_usage>1.00</gpu_usage> </gpu_versions> </app> </app_config>

In any case the issue has already fixed, so doesn't matter.

http://wuprop.boinc-af.org/results.php?hostid=51423

I can confirm, WUProp app is tracking CPU time instead of wall time.
Collatz Conjecture (collatz) is using 0.02 CPU + 1.00 NVIDIA and the progress of Running time (hours) growth is horribly slow.
FYI, I'm using app_config.xml for CPU usage limitation for collatz app.

<app_config> <app> <name>collatz</ name> <gpu_versions> <gpu_usage>0.02</gpu_usage> <cpu_usage>1.00</ cpu_usage> </gpu_versions> </app> </app_config>

I managed to get 17 hours for Genefer (World Record) before fix.
it's curious who fixed, PrimeGrid or WUProp?

WUProp is reporting the PrimeGrid Short Genefer as a World Record. It is a new application number (went from 2.04 to 2.05) and your reading it wrong.

Is this possible to add GPU choise for Credit per day in Project apps and OS's dimensions?
Some GPU projects have different WU duration, so avg Duration is not applicabale for PPD computing.
For example DistrRTgen has 2 kinds of WU's: 600 & 4220 credits with approx. identical PPD.
