Missing entry for LA Red Atrapa
(Message 8272)
Posted 29 Jul 2021 by ![]() Post: Nice find. I did notice I was showing a 20th star when only 399 apps were showing above 100 here. From Free-DC I have 161 hours for QCN Sensor. This makes me think the hours are being used for stars just not showing. |

Gaia WU fishing strategy?
(Message 8261)
Posted 23 Jul 2021 by ![]() Post: I have successfully processed 3_Gaia task over the last several days but no hours are showing at WUProp. I think a new app version was published after all the failed 3_Gaia tasks, so maybe WUProp is not detecting it correctly. |

More Stars ???
(Message 1605)
Posted 11 Sep 2013 by ![]() Post: No-one is going to get 260 apps for a long time. There's barely even 150 non-alpha apps that you can reliably get to 100 hours, let alone several thousand. I wouldn't mind the fifth star being somewhere around 150 (if it wasn't for the badge removal issue I mentioned earlier), but I feel like the best way to accommodate for the increase in apps is to just add more stars when there's actually enough apps to get them. Having badges that are literally impossible to achieve is a bad idea. Be careful about statements like this, zombie67 already has 160+ apps at bronze level or better. And while I don't have the hours on many of the apps for badge level, I am at 155 apps with hours. I will not guess on how soon someone will have 260+ apps at 100 hours but I don't think it will be a "long time". The users are asking for a solution that scales to higher levels of hours and to higher counts of apps. The circled stars seems to answer the higher levels of hours. It may have already been mentioned but why not just give people a second, third, etc. badge as the app count increases. Then we don't have to worry about a cap on number of apps the badge system can handle. So for example zombie67 would have two badges ![]() ![]() ![]() But really what we need is an indication of the Admin's plans to wrap this discussion up. |

More Stars ???
(Message 1355)
Posted 13 Jul 2013 by ![]() Post: I like the idea of both as well. I might eventually reach 5+ stars as I run lots of projects but also would have the chance to increase at least one star past sapphire working on my favorite projects. Could you render one of the new 9 star badges with a mix of old and new stars so we can see how the background circles look in the badge. As for size it looks like the new 9 star badge would take about as much space as the gpugrid badges. |

Pending Hr's
(Message 1049)
Posted 13 Mar 2013 by ![]() Post: I have noticed that the Pending hours seem to vanish fairly soon after the wuprop task reports from a computer that has completed and reported it's task but the Running time hours can take a while to increment. This means for a time it would look like hours had vanished. I have not paid close enough attention to the actual hours to know if my totals are correctly increasing by the vanished pendings but they are increasing at reasonable rates based on what I am running. |

(Message 964)
Posted 28 Feb 2013 by ![]() Post: 5 stars max (20 apps per star)? Can that be re-thought maybe? Way more apps than 100. I am already working on my 7th star.... Sorry you are going to have to give back all the work you have done on the 6th and 7th stars since you haven't earned your 5th yet. :-) Seriously congratulations that is diversified work. I have not been pushing things too much, but do have one host attached to most active projects with about half the subprojects selected, and am just at 89 different apps. |
