21) Message boards : News : Application updated (Message 794)

100 applications, is there even that many in all the different BOINC projects?

I've got Credits in 93 projects, and that's because I usually skip imho pure math brain wanking like primes and such. The cruncher with most projects in the stats has 134 in the list.
Quite a lot of them have more than one app running, in WCG alone I've got badges for 15 apps, and further 4 with too little crunch time for their badge, but more than 100h crunching. Prime-Grid has as well about a dozen apps in parallel, yoyo 6.

Currently there are 2 ARM-CPUs running on this project and have credits:
http://boincstats.com/fr/stats/98/host/breakdown/cpu/0/2/600 (just now they start at the very top)

On all BOINC there are 23 different types with credits:
http://boincstats.com/fr/stats/-1/host/breakdown/cpu/0/3/1000 (just now starting at #1063)

I just got this message in my BOINC:
"BOINC notices" wrote:
WUProp@Home: WUProp@Home - CPU bad identification

BOINC didn't correctly identify your CPU
Results reported by it could be partialy unusable.
Please visit this page and complete the informations about your CPU

There (the page link) I see this:

"WUProp" wrote:
Host ID: 35770
Domain name: SaengerSeinGalaxy
BOINC identification: ARMv7 Processor rev 1 (v7l) @1200MHz

But I don't have the possibility to chose ARM as manufacturer. How can I do something about it?
24) Message boards : Number crunching : Native Android BOINC Client - Support ? (Message 687)

Thanks for implementing the new app, my computer has successfully crunched it's first WUs, but it has changed it's ID-number inbetween, here's the new link.

First WU didn't work, but after that everything went fine.

I just looked for one of those apps as well, as I'm currently running NativeBOINC on my Samsung Galaxy S2.

The only message is:
Message from server: This project doesn't support computers of type arm-android-linux-gnu
26) Message boards : Number crunching : No new WUProp work (as below) (Message 623)

I have the same problem. Work generators in server status are disabled...

And will be for "a few days" according to the news.

sorry, may be the cause of the message?

Message from server: Data collect not available for your computer type.

Thanks!!

Most probably ;)
28) Message boards : Number crunching : Project is temporarily shut down for maintenance (Message 581)

Get the message "Project is temporarily shut down for maintenance" on 3 hosts. Another 3 hosts are ok and got wus.

Detach and re-attach didn't help.

What's wrong? Any suggestion?

Yes, "a few hours" seems to be some quite long time in France ;)

The project will be offline for a few hours, tomorrow from 07:00 UTC.
I will migrate the project onto a new server.

Can you give any guestimated definition of "a few hours"?

Good luck in every case ;)

And Data collect version 3 v3.16 (nci) is running as well fine, 'though there are a lot of errors mentioned in the stderr_out:

Recommended version (6.10.58) is OK.

New answer is:
<coprocs> <coproc_cuda> <count>1</count> <name>GeForce GT 240</name> </coproc_cuda> </coprocs>

So it will work now methinks.
BTW: Intron lasted for about 657h, got me 62KC

But still no GPU available as "Your GPU" under results for GPU

What's still wrong?

I downloaded BOINC 6.10.17.
Within this version, the RPC command get_host_info didn't return informations about coprocessors.

Could you install a more recent version?

Will do, but only after the current RNAworld is finished, and that seems to take some time (68h and counting, since ~20h at 100%). I hope it will run anyway, as it's one of the famous Introns, that last up to 800h without any checkpoint ;)

Edith asks: How current? Will the 6.10.58 für Linux x64 do? Or has it to be some beta stuff?

If I go to results I don't have an "own GPU", and if I select my GT240, I don't see any Einstein results, although I crunch more than a dozen every day. Why is that so?

The application collects data every 5 minutes.
The compute time couldn't be collected when the AQUA workunit finished and was reported to AQUA project between two cycles.

Does that mean, that with the tag <report_results_immediately>0|1</report_results_immediately> set to "1" in the cc_config, those data will never be returned to you?

Yes, with this tag, the compute time will never be returned.
Other datas (RAM, deadline, download, upload, checkpoint) will be returned.

OK, as I don't crunch GPUGrid any more without manually fiddling, I have set it back to "0". More data from my machine :)
