Fourth star now RUBY
Going to take a long time for the last one to get to Ruby, but have my theoretical 6th Star now to Silver.

Third star to gold and fourth to silver simultaneously. Still a long way off getting that fifth star. I reckon I'm just going to farm as many PrimeGrid apps up to 2500+ hours as possible in an attempt to secure a bit of a buffer there.

So what happens when you get a 6th star? Do you get a 2nd badge with one star on it? And if so which star does it get? The high one or the low one?
It seems only fair that you get a second badge or some other way to incorporate a 6th into the existing badge, perhaps by changing background colours of 5 sections of the badge ... or even by putting slightly smaller stars in the gaps. For some people the 6th badge (7th/8th)might be of a high value, and it seems wrong to just forget about a 6th badge of any colour. If you have earned it then you should have it :-)
Whilst I am thinking about this I would like to make another suggestion.
Would it be possible to add a row across the top of the Reported Data table listing the total Running time. I suppose if it's easy the Total Pending might as well be totalled too. I think that would add something interesting to the page. I also feel that it would be nice to have a separate badge to represent this Total. I think that for many people there could be a big difference between Grand Totals of people with the same badge - especially if there is no 6th badge!
Just some thoughts, what do you guys think?

This was discussed when STE\/E and zombie hit 5 sapphire stars (which was at that time the highest possible badge), but it was decided that further stars would not be implemented due to the limited number of projects, and the necessity to participate in alpha projects with little work or have participated in now-defunct projects for badges beyond the 5th.
Would it be possible to add a row across the top of the Reported Data table listing the total Running time. I suppose if it's easy the Total Pending might as well be totalled too.
Free-DC does this - just replace "&name=xxx" with your userid, or use the in-built search function. Would be nice to have on the site proper though.

If you look at BOINCStats list of projects, most of them consider themselves Alpha. Probably because they are too lazy to update their info with the site which is up to project admins. However, it is rediculous for projects to call themselves Alpha or Beta when they should really say their apps are alpha or beta. Even then, if it is running production level work, they shouldn't be called alpha or beta. Apps are always being updated. Live work should be just that.

A good example of mis-labels is that RNA claim to be BETA on their page, but BOINCStats still has them as Alpha.
Even WUProp is listed as Alpha.....

I think my next target will be a second red, and then I'll try to get the second star to green...

Well, that's the second red, and the plan is still to shift the first red to green...
…Eventually shifted the second star from red to green, though its not appeared on my account just yet...
Worked out that it would take 4 months to go from green to blue and that I probably don’t have enough live apps in the 3rd star to move it to green any time soon. So I will try to transform the two lower stars, mainly by running lesser apps and run a few more favourable apps from the 2nd and 3rd stars. Silver to Gold and Bronze to Silver should be easy enough, achievable in a week or two. 2 Golds or another Red might be doable in a month or two, but in the long run I think I will aim to take the top star to the next level (about 5months of crunching on its own). As I’m in no rush I’ll likely diverge to meet some project milestones or badges. Maybe sometime next year, after I get my first Magenta, I will aim for a second blue, or to take the 3rd start to Green, if I’m still interested…

Going by the Badges List it's Magenta - Some say, ink costs more than gold, but I guess it depends where you buy it/mine!

Trying to get the 5th star to Ruby and with a lot of effort might get the 1st star to Sapphire, but that is going to take a lot of work, I best get cracken'.

My first star has turned to Sapphire 
It has taken a darn long time but have reached a major goal.
Trying to get another 3 applications to 1,000 hours to make the 5th star Ruby, a lot more work yet.
(My theoretical 6th star is Gold and my 7th star is Bronze)

Congrats and good to see some people are still able to post here regularly.
Thought I would be able to shift my two lower stars up a level in a couple of weeks!
Well, 3 months later I’ve just managed to shift one; the 4th Star changed from Silver to Gold thanks to running the DNA@Home Gibbs Sampler app for the Citizen Science Grid project,

Would still like to shift the fifth star from Bronze to Silver (4apps shy) but I’m also trying to take 2 CPU projects over the 1M Boinc Credits mark including BoincSIMAP which is due to end this year, and there isn’t much of this year left.
I’m hoping that by running MindModeling@Beta and Universe@Home tasks I will be able to reach Silver soon but with only 4 active apps from the 20 comprising the 5th star it will be difficult to shift it beyond Silver, and that’s not counting any unmarked dead projects.
A theoretical 6th star is also only 4 apps away which would make for a flush of colours if the tasks turn up...
After that it will probably be sparse for many months with any movement likely to be for the 1st or 2nd star.
Only 28 from 80 of my last apps are active, and of the active apps at least 3 are Beta or Test apps, 2 are for dead projects, some are from intermittent projects, one is from a project that doesn’t award credit and others are due to expire in a short while.
Further up there are more active apps but it’s a similar picture. The likes of World Community Grid's Uncovering Genome Mysteries app and Universe@Home's universe2 are helping freshen things up, but a few more new projects/apps wouldn't go amiss.
