I don´t know if you heard about the new BOINC application for Android 2.3+...

The performance of the mobile processors is really "breathtaking", if you compare credits/watt - you can´t recognise any problem with "expensive electricity bill", but every better "android phone" can reach 25 cr./h./core on MilkyWay@home easily !

Application download : http://krzyszp.info/matszpk/android/ (well, isn´t too stable, but works)

My question : Are you able to create an Android version of WuProp@home application ? It would be nice to compare also mobile devices !! :-)

Cheers !

I just looked for one of those apps as well, as I'm currently running NativeBOINC on my Samsung Galaxy S2.

The only message is:
Message from server: This project doesn't support computers of type arm-android-linux-gnu

Thanks for implementing the new app, my computer has successfully crunched it's first WUs, but it has changed it's ID-number inbetween, here's the new link.

First WU didn't work, but after that everything went fine.

It works on G-Tablet, but failed to download task on Samsung Galaxy mini.

Why so big space requirement? More than 95MB needed for task. And FYI Galaxy mini has only 140MB of inner space (and currently NativeBOINC completely resides in inner space).

Indeed, some Android devices don't have too much memory and it's paramount to limit how much of it BOINC applications get.

Are 95MB really necessary by WUProp?

TIA

PS: why is it so hard to post without it being flagged as spam?

Hi. I dont from what source are you determining device name (appeared in the results)? From hostname or system version? Unfortunatelly hostname can be modified by user via NativeBOINC.
Ofcourse, data_collect can be modified to retrieving model name.

It will be great if you could modify data_collect to retrieve model name.
For the moment, I use domain name and/or os version.

All the results are coming back as invalid for my Xperia Play. Anyone have any suggestions? Seen it before?
