However another milestone of some note for me is I just clocked up 500,000 Hours on this project.

The next 500,000 hours are going to take a very long time at the current rate.

Yes, that is good advice.
The CPUMiner apps are trickling along and can run as long as they want, no real goal. The other BCU apps are all being run on my two Linux machines as I can't run the CPUMiner apps on Linux, so I thought I could run some of the other BCU apps. Found out today I can't run them to completion and wont get any credit, so I will keep running them to get up to 100 hours then stop them.
I am having trouble getting enough applications for CPU only work to get my Tenth Star.
I am not using GPUs, don't do VMs, have no Quake detectors or Radio Activity sensors or my BOINC Client version is too old to run all the other available applications that are out there.
Trying to get any work for SZTAKI project is hard work and at my current rate it will be many months before I get 100 hours on that project.
I have already modified my preferences on WCG to try and get FightAIDS@Home - Phase 2, but as yet still can't download any work for that application.

I suppose the fun is in the chase, so I am chasing what I can when I can. I will get there.

You keep crunching as well, your first Pink star is also another goal I would like to match someday.

I am having trouble getting enough applications for CPU only work to get my Tenth Star.

Getting the tenth star will be a pain in the ass for me also now, if not impossible. I've missed a lot of apps from projects which are dead now, like Slinca for example, and from some projects I only could manage to crunch a small amount of work not enough for bronze before they ran out of work of it.
I didn't focus on getting much apps from the start anyway, I wanted to reach some badges/milestones on several main projects first. When you have only two comps you need to set priorities. ;-)

Now to work on changing their colours.
It has taken a very long time so future stars past the 10th are just that for me, in the future.
It would not have taken so long if I used a GPU and VMs or had Earth Quake sensors, but using just the CPU has gotten me there just the same.

Well done, huge effort, both you and zombie, few are going to match your levels.
That is 340 applications that have been processed for 100 Hours+ each.

You will match zombie for a while, as he still has 4-5 more apps to get to 100 hours before he gets his 17th star.

If you ticked the box in your preferences to allow Bok to show your application hours, then zombie would be first with 355 applications and you would be second with 340 applications.

Tremendous effort from both of you.

Seems my maths was a bit out on my last post, STEVE has passed 320 applications and zombie has hit 340 applications.

Should be able to upgrade the Gold to Ruby and a Silver to Gold with the latest wave of apps. After which there will be nothing on the horizon for a very long time:

15 from Lime (actively crunching for 3 apps there, but only 2 beneath Lime),
18 from Magenta (but not crunching any apps from those 20),
18 from Sapphire (crunching 2 active apps),
13 from Emerald (not crunching any apps from that group of 20),
2 from Ruby (but not crunching either of the bottom 2 apps),
3 from Gold (but not crunching any active apps in that group of 20),
20 from Gold (crunching 1 active app),
20 from Silver (crunching 4 active apps),
20 from Silver (crunching 2 active apps there),
20 apps from a 10th star (and crunching the only active app down there).

Looks like you tied with Ralfy as the first two people to get to three stars at 50,000 hours or more and at about the same time.

The projects out there are very lucky to be getting this much support from volunteers like yourself.

50,000 hours on just the one application for the one project is an achievement by itself, so yours is an amazing effort, keep up the good work.
