Eighth star has turned GOLD

>>>>

App by App I am changing my Star colours, it takes a lot of work to get them to change.

Reading this thread reminded me how little CPU horsepower I have compared to the "big guys"! :-(

Still, joined 1 week ago, got first little puny star in 7 days someodd hours. Will eventually get a second star thanks to Primegrid (third star WAY out there, I only run 20 projects, so just over 40 apps showing up) but that first star is going to take a while to change colors anyway.

Project is VERY useful for keeping track of what my hosts are doing - I love it! I just have to keep myself on track working on my original goals, which are world-position within chosen projects, and not get off topic and start badge-chasing! :-/ Addictive!

Lucky 13, congratulations Bok, that's a lot of apps and a lot of work.

Bill,

You should consider running the NCI projects. You have some OSX machines so if any of them are MacBooks you can run all 8 Quake Catcher projects plus the 2 goofyxgrid apps (on Win). After a month they might well be your big earners, hours wise. Note that some of the QCN projects don't award credits but that doesn't matter here.

Three years in and all 8 QCN projects are > 30,000 hrs for me. I dont pay much attention to them and sometimes I dont even run them.

Have fun!

To be fair, you can run all 8 QCN projects even without the sensors or accelerometers. The apps won't do anything but will still give the app hours...

Another 7 days someodd hours, bronze went to silver... BORING! Gotta get that gold! (Or red, that's even prettier!) :-) Probably take a couple of weeks this time though. Or more. ($%^&* Collatz!) (And I refuse to give BitcoinU that much time on my ASICs, don't _want_ 90% of my credits to be in one project.)

The PrimeGrid Challenge running right now is really messing things up too - getting almost 800 hrs/day on PPS Sieve, nothing on anything else. At least it was one of the ones I needed to get over 250.

Already running QCN on the one MacBook - won't run it on the ones w/o sensors, just not my thing. Tried to buy sensors for other hosts at other locations, no luck. Since QCN is semi-shut-down, will check out the related sites, see if any are really still active. Right now, only running QCN for the hours and in the hopes that the data will someday be used. Thanks!

There are two additional non-cpu intensive projects with three applications overall you might add to count hours:
GoofyxGrid@Home
Gridcoin Finance

And with/without sensor you can additionally add:
Radioactive@Home

By the way: you have a lot of cores (52) and gpus (6) compared to myself (16+2). Let your computers run and you'll get your starts as time wents on. For your gpus you may also run GPUGRID, for cpu Albert, SRBase and Einstein have all multiple applications.

Didn't knew Gridcoin Finance was NCI. I added it to 3 64-bit machines :)

Slowly App by App the Star colours change, lots of work to change them, and also lots of work to gain extra stars.

Excellent effort there zombie67[MM], huge number of applications that you have already processed and still more for you to find.
The 20th star will be a great New Year reward for you when you get it.
