Hopefully my 7th star will change from grey to yellow on the next server update (I have the hours already):

Expect to update my 6th star from yellow to red in the next week or so; just need to shift 3apps up a level.
After than I'm hoping to change my 4th star from green to blue, another 3 app updates for that.
Further down the line might be a brown to grey (12apps away) and a second pink/magenta (8apps away)...
After that I'll just keep chipping away generally increasing app hours when the apps are available.
Might yet broaden my horizons as its becoming increasingly difficult to get higher stars, and there is no fun in not getting any for 6 months or more at a time.

Bok's "Free-DC" web site shows your hours and how you rank against others (you must allow for the hours export in you account preferences, there is no security problems as no one can access your account).
Just allow the export and as you pass 180 applications I can add you to the list.

Since last month

Mumps [MM] as he promised is back on the list after allowing the hours export function in his account.
Also Sphynx is back again on the list, allowing his hours to be exported.
Unfortunately we have lost Sabroe_SMC who has blocked the hours export in his account.

Trying out new applications can be a bit of fun in itself. It can take a bit of searching to get new applications that suit your needs, so sometimes you add no applications in the month and other times you add a number of applications, you just need patience.
I continue trying to build hours in a number of applications, some new and some I have been working on for a while.

Got my 15th star overnight after finally getting some Einstein O1 allsky I work on one machine..

300apps with 100hrs.

Mine was one of those banned apps :D

Is it me or is there quite a flourish of new apps at the moment?

6th star updated from yellow to red:

Hopefully my 3rd star will change from green to blue in a few days to a week, only 2 app updates needed.

After that my main target is a second magenta. Still 7 apps away, but might be doable in a couple of months if the apps remain available.
A brown to grey update is also on the distant horizon; 11 apps away, but I'm as keen to get more stars/badges as I am updates.
So I'll take the broad spectrum approach; just keep chipping away generally increasing app hours when the apps are available or new apps arrive, taking them up to reasonable hours counts where possible (and with some orientation towards my more favoured disciplines), but I may still branch out a little more to help get a few more stars/another badge/get some fun out of this.

WRT the high end colours, a second Magenta and a single Lime would probably be my limit for the foreseeable future. I'll be happy enough getting apps to Red, Green and Blue and broadening out a bit. It's too difficult for me to get the very high colours and with the recent increase in new/restarted apps (compared to usual) I'd rather have fun :)

Still 7 apps away, but looks like I've enough live apps at Blue to get there, albe it in 2 or 3 months probably.

9th star updated to Silver:

I'd like to get the apps I've just started crunching for to higher star colours before I target more stars.
An 11th star will be the fist target but I'll need to add a few more apps.
After that I’ll aim to promote my first silver to gold and just keep progressing app hours generally where I can, mainly focusing on improving my lower to middle stars but reaching a second Magenta (still a few months away).
While I eventually want a bright green star (25000h), that's maybe a year or two away.

11 apps from a bright green star
5 apps from a magenta star (but some of my higher & active apps at blue are intermittent)
18 apps away from upgrading my 4th star to Blue (next year maybe)
15 apps away from an Emerald for my 5th star
14 apps away from promoting my 7th star to Red
11 apps from moving a silver to gold
4 apps from an 11th star…

If I can get an 11th star I might have enough active apps to move my 8th star to gold, and then have enough active apps at gold to promote my first gold to ruby... Flushing my starts from the bottom up with new apps.
Perhaps next year I'll try to get my first 5 stars all to blue or better...

Will continue crunching for my new projects, taking the apps up to 500h or 1000h. Will help to reach some easy targets; moving a silver to gold, and then a gold to ruby. Should also improve the app hours generally at the lower end of my collection.
Presently crunching for 11apps below silver, 4apps at silver and one at gold. So, should now be able to move a couple of lower stars to higher colours just by taking those apps to gold or ruby.
