Over 4months since I last upgraded a star! Should get a gold soon but after that it could be many months before anything changes.
Haven't been chasing more apps/stars, just concentrating on WCG 5year milestones & app hours. Want to get a couple more over 50,000h...

With the new year well and truly over, lots of projects have been busy producing new applications for us to process, this is obvious with the jumps in application totals that some people have made over the last month.

Lets see how you fared last month.

Bok's "Free-DC" web site shows your hours and how you rank against others (you must allow for the hours export in you account preferences, there is no security problems as no one can access your account).
Just allow the export and as you pass 180 applications I can add you to this list.

Since last month

A few projects still have not come back on-line, such as SZTAKI, I have 2 computers still trying to upload work but it has been down now for over 3 months (although the web site is still active so it may come back to life) and Stop@home which seems to have vanished from the face of the planet (I still have one computer with work still trying to upload). (There are probably more but these two affect me at the moment.)

Only one new member added to the list but lots of people have improved their badge levels with new stars added.

Congratulations to all the people who earned new badges over the last month, well done.

I hope I didn't miss anybody, scanning the stats list to find people and going in and counting all their apps does take time. Placing them in this list takes even longer.


There seems to be a few other projects that have gone by the wayside as well, just have to wait and see if they get going again, they have either stopped or just having a break.
I will have to get a list together one day to see which projects are no longer alive.

Working on changing the colours of the stars I have, oh and adding a few more applications where I can.

Might start chasing a few more upgrades here when that's done or if I can work out how to add WUProp to my androids?

I have WUProp on my android phones. I have to add the project by URL as it's not listed in the project list. No other special setup needed.

I just add WUProp to my Androids by using BOINCStats BAM!. Works every time and is really simple.

I had intuitively been clicking Add Project directly from the main drop down menu!
From there no options were available to add projects manually and my BoincStats BAM! account no longer works for me; I cant reset it...

Eventually worked out that I need to select Projects from the drop down menu (not Add Project), click the three vertically aligned dots (vertical ellipses) at the top right of Boinc for Android.
From there we can add projects manually (add project by URL) - Looks like a design afterthought!

So if anyone else is stuck, don't click Add Project when you want to manually Add a Project on your Android device, click Projects & then the 3 dots [ â‹® ]

Added WUProp & Rosetta, so I should see a Rosetta for Android app turn up here...
Might eventually get a collatz app too...

Have reached my 16th Star. It has taken a long while.

Well some news about SZTAKI, It came back to life and killed all of my work that has been waiting for the last 4 months to upload. Some new work and all the resends have been getting sent out.
However this is it for SZTAKI, it will be closing down on May 31st as per there message on their web site.
Stop@home appears to be dead and to have vanished from the face of the planet.
A few others have been quite recently but Denis appears to alive and well with a new badge recently released, but work is lite on.

A lot of movement on the list, for some people badges have been regained from months ago when the app reshuffle removed a number of apps from peoples lists.


Bok has created a new listing which can help you find apps to run, you have to allow the data export so he can gather information for you.

A lot of new badges were awarded over the past month, congratulations to all the people who earned new badges, well done.

I hope I didn't miss anybody, scanning the stats list to find people and going in and counting all their apps does take time. Placing them in this list takes even longer.


There seems to be a few other projects that have gone by the wayside as well, just have to wait and see if they get going again, they have either stopped or just having a break.
I will have to get a list together one day to see which projects are no longer alive.

Working on changing the colours of the stars I have, oh and adding a few more applications where I can.

Sorry zombie, the problem is probably mine not Free-DC or WUProp.

I recorded this data on the 9th, but due to family and visiting friends I was unable to process it that day/night.

So I processed it last night (10th) but did not go back through the data to see if anything had changed.

I suppose that technically you received your 520th app star in April (yesterday) and this data is for March, but there is always some overlap depending on when I record the data, and I don't adhere to "technically" anyway.

This can happen most months with someone a few hours short of a star when I record the data, but I pick it back up the next month.

Sorry again about that, I did not even see you had another one coming up, you did that one quick.

Congratulations for the 6th badge and your 520th application above 100 Hours.

I will pick it up next update and put your name in lights (well on this forum anyway).

Hope this explains how this happened.

A few Android apps helped me get there.

11 apps from an upgrade to Blue, 8 apps from an Emerald, 6 from a Ruby and 8 off another Silver...
Will likely start chasing the above upgrades when I've reached 10years for WCG's OET app before returning to try and take a few others to 10years.
According to announcements, WCG will launch a few new projects (apps) in the coming weeks/months. I'm sure I'll want to take them all past 5000h fairly sharpish.

Not a lot of new applications released over the last month, but that did not stop people adding more applications to there lists.. How many were you able to snag and build up 100 hours+ on to get a new star?

Lets see how you fared last month.

Bok's "Free-DC" web site shows your hours and how you rank against others (you must allow for the hours export in you account preferences, there is no security problems as no one can access your account).
Just allow the export and as you pass 180 applications I can add you to this list.

Since last month

Well some news about SZTAKI, It came back to life and killed all of my work that has been waiting for the last 4 months to upload. Some new work and all the resends have been getting sent out.
However this is it for SZTAKI, it will be closing down on May 31st as per there message on their web site.
Stop@home appears to be dead and to have vanished from the face of the planet.
A few others have been quite recently but Denis appears to alive and well with a new badge recently released, but work is lite on.
POGS has called it a day and has now closed down, also the Duchamp project has folded as well.

A number of people from certain teams have stopped data export of their apps counts to Bok's web site.
Suspect this is due to the current BOINC Pentathlon that is running and how they choose to run it. I am sure they will be back.
This group includes Mumps[MM], zombie67[MM], shiva, Bryan, Sphynx, FourOh, MindCrime.

Due to this we have a new leader this month with STEVE.

Also we appear to have lost Cyph3r, Steve Hawker* and Maurice Goulois, who don't seem to running WUProp anymore.

But Raspo has restarted running the project and is back on the list.

We have three new members added to the list, and a lot of people have improved their badge levels with new stars added.

Special mention goes to zombie67 who has collected a 6th badge for over 520 applications of 100 hours+.

Also congratulations goes to Mumps[MM] for attaining the Number One position on the participants list, highest Points and Hours.

Onward we march to add even more applications.
