Convector has changed their app from 52barV2 -> 52barV3.

The user prefs, server and application pages list them as another V2 as does Boinc manager but the dev/admin has been notified and says it should be V3.

The actual WUs do show as V3 and 52barV3 is what works in an app_config.xml.

Either way the Hrs aren't being credited by the WUProp app yet...

GPUGrid is running a CPU application called CPU only app 1.05

For me the credit is going against the Run on android only app,

GPUGRID Run on android only 91,45 (8,35%)

New project: Beal@Home

App is called Beal Engine

BOINC Manager shows the application as Beal Engine 1.00

It hasn't shown up in my WUProp stats yet; have been running it for approximately 18 hours and finished 8 so far.

BOINC Wide Teams has been implemented so I am in the project but I have to wait for the e-mail to be fixed before I can start working on this project.

Volpex@UH has a new application VolPEx server benchmark. The Linux app was released 14 hours ago and the Windows app less than 4 hours ago.

Good tip. I managed to download a few of these WU's. Hopefully enough to get over 1000h when they complete, but if a few fail maybe not...

Thanks,

Docking@Home has announced it's retirement.

http://docking.cis.udel.edu/about/project/news.php#285

Last units will be released on 30-APR and must be returned before 23-MAT. So get your Docking hours in while you can.

It's been at zero all day, but a few WU's did download. I expect WU's are auto-generated from previous tasks but no large batches have been added recently.

Might have fancied my chances to reach 25Kh,
Docking Charmm 34a2 19,381.58 3.87

oh well,

Indeed...I was hoping to maybe reach 5Kh and/or 500K 'stones, but have abandoned any attempt at either...<sigh>

Two of my PC's received a Docking task within the last hour after requesting on & off last 12 hours... does seem hit & miss so I set the Project Shares @1000 to hopefully snag a few more.

Climateprediction http://climateprediction.net

Now have tasks for 3 different applications: hadam3pm2 (new! only Linux and Mac), hadam3p_eu and hadam3p_anz. The last two have around 10 000 tasks available, grab them and help climate science!

Didn't manage to get any of the MOSES II tasks, yet...
On a Linux system I got the message, UK Met Office HADAM3P (global only) with MOSES II landsurface scheme is not available for Linux running on an AMD x86_64 or Intel EM64T CPU.
I also got a similar message when I tried to get these tasks on a W7x64 system. The project imposed 1h delay between asking for tasks and the increasingly stubborn BM are making requests for tasks from climateprediction.net extremely difficult.

Anyway, today a few Climate at Home (different project) tasks came my way. Note these run in a VM (vbox64):
Application modeE of Climeate at Home 16.00 (bvox64)

The flow of work from this project is quite intermittent, so heads up!

CPDN Beta went off-line on 5th April due to server problems. It came back up on 16th but the server was rebuilt with a very old backup and is sending out FAMOUS tasks generated from 4 year old workunits.

There is a new project called Low-Energy-Boinc. Main page at http://low-energy-boinc.cslparis.fr/index.html

If you want to attach to the project you will need to use,

Tasks take ~24h to run. It uses a trickle up system and is Non CPU Intensive.
In theory you can buy or make some sensor devices to enhance the data, but at present the WU's run without anything attached.
It's in the starting up phase and as such the forums don't work. I've been running them on W7, W8, XP and Ubuntu 14.04 since yesterday without issue, but they Abort after a minute or two if you try to run them in an Oracle VM (Ubuntu 13 in my case).
The project appears to be a Sony research initiative.

PS. I did, somewhat surprisingly, reach 25kh for Docking. While most systems didn't get much work, for some reason two systems picked up a lot and I scraped over the line, just:
Docking Charmm 34a2 25,221.17 19.53

I worked out that the Low-Energy-Boinc project didn't like it when I ran 2 cloned VM's, so I stopped and I'm now just running one (non-cloned) VM on one system, which is 10hours into a run (mainly just to test that it works). Prior to that the WU's failed after a minute or two on the cloned VM's.

Low-Energy-Boinc project still doesn't have a forum :(

So far I've only 'successively' completed one WU, which took slightly over 24h, and reported that it "can't open file: milestone",
http://low-energy-boinc.cslparis.fr/low-energy-boinc/result.php?resultid=331

I have 3 other systems that could each complete a WU within the next 8h, but on one system a WU's ran for 27h before I aborted it because it had stopped progressing. It also used 200MB, which is a fair bit for an NCI project.

Given the projects apparent Energy Efficiency/Anti-Crunching stance, I hope it isn't actively suspending work! I will have to keep a close eye on my systems...

SLinCA is up and running again, http://dg.imp.kiev.ua/slinca/

Note that the project is a bit challenging WRT checkpointing and WU length. It should also only really be for Linux; Windows WU's all fail!

I'm getting heavy_lodci011eq32v0p125T1XZ22 tasks.
