Seti (Campaign #5) just STARTED in the last 24 hours or so and need to be ADDED in the application list here. Some 10 000 (now down to 7 500) more workunits over at http://www.climateprediction.net for the UK Met Office HadAM3P-HadRM3P Australia New Zealand was recently released. Based on the announcement I would guess more are on the way: New models just released for ANZ experiment looking at role of ENSO (El Nino Southern Oscillation) on recent extreme weather events in Australia.http://climateapps2.oerc.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/forum_thread.php?id=5447&nowrap=true#50922 A guess on the forum is that since these uses older 6. version, these should be stable even on macs! |

The World Community Grid (WCG) has released the app for their new project 'Outsmart Ebola Together' (oet1) Sorry I should have mentioned it's an opt-in project that has to be manually selected in your WCG profile prefs. Don't know why, the requirements look average although supposedly some of the WU's are quite long. It's now showing up in the stats...

For OET1 it's recommended to enable LAIM. https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/help/viewTopic.do?shortName=minimumreq Maybe it's just because they are long, but perhaps they don't checkpoint too often? Whatever the case, going by the forum posts there are no tasks available yet... |

For OET1 it's recommended to enable LAIM. https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/help/viewTopic.do?shortName=minimumreq During Beta testing for OET1, some of the tasks were taking 15 to 20 hours with no checkpoint being taken, hence the reason for enabling LAIM. |

cgminer (Campaign #8) (for 20+GH/s ASICs) has started since yesterday ... I wish they would get theses App's on the Board, the Bitcoin App's are hard enough to accumulate Hr's for being that they run for a short time. From what I've heard the YoYo #7 Campaign is going to be really short so probably won't get many Hr's on it ... |
