Not keen on all these dev/test/in-house projects. Aside from the false-positive new app alerts CountPeanutProject@basement.home could have a new Peanut app every weekend. |

New Monkeys - v3 & v4. They are new applications, V1 and V2 are still both running as well. So we have v1, v2, v3, and v4 all running at the same time. All NCI at the moment as problems with CPU application which was going to be v3 and v4. Conan |

GPUGRID beta-tests their app on Pascal GPUs and sends Short runs (2-3 hours on fastest card) tasks. The are for 64bit Windows platform and the working version is '9.14 (cuda80)'. The apss for GTX1000 (Pascal's) only on Windows 7 x64 (or newer). The apps presently in both the Beta and Short queue, but tasks are only available in the Short queue. The Short queue app is called Short runs (2-3 hours on fastest card) v9.14 (cuda80) It's possible that either queue will be replenished and there will be some more testing on Windows x64 systems, but the v9.14 app might just be kept in the Short queue and/or added to the long queue, as it works. The plan is to test on Linux next week. When a Long runs application turns up its likely to be called something like, Long runs (8-12 hours on fastest card) v9.14 (cuda80) Note that this is a completely new app - it was rebuilt using the CUDA 8.0 dev kit and recompiled for x64 systems. |

From the "[Beta] New / Intermittent applications" thread (Message 4349)... The application SixTrack from project LHC@home is active Can the stats for the same app at project "LHC@home 1.0" be moved into this one? I apologize if similar questions related to project name changes, consolidations, etc., have already been asked and answered. Regards, MarkR |

& what is this? http://forum.boinc.ru/default.aspx?g=posts&t=1958#post85114 Russian Text converted via Google Translate: On the server IITP launched a test project AndersonAttack @ home . Once it is a test, did not create a separate project discussion thread for him. The purpose of the project - the solution of problems of cryptanalysis generator 10 A5 / 1, as it was at the time done in SAT @ home project. Unlike the SAT @ home, is not used SAT-approach, and "smart" brute force - the so-called attack Anderson . By the A5 / 1, this attack has not previously been used, so the scientific value of the experiment is. In addition, it is a rewarding experience for us - before we GPU-application BOINC will not start. An important point - there is only GPU-application to CUDA, the GPU based on AMD application no. We ask all to participate in this experiment - the job I generated . Experiment a little while about 80 thousand jobs, one in the middle decided 2 minutes old relative GPU. So far, in addition to these tasks in the plan is nothing. **** EDIT **** Project server athttp://parlea.ru/andersonattack/index.php So far ONLY RUNS ON Windows or Linux 64-bit OS with cuda_fermi GPU's Microsoft Windows running on an AMD x86_64 or Intel EM64T (cuda_fermi) Linux running on an AMD x86_64 or Intel EM64T CPU (cuda_fermi) |

& what is this? I had found and read a lot of that a number of hours ago, but I was still none the wiser as to how to find the project and actually join, even if I am not currently able to contribute as I don't have a GPU that is suitable. Conan |

Wasn't really looking to join, thought it was a joke/or worse, but went through the process to make sure it works. Create an account here: http://parlea.ru/andersonattack/create_account_form.php?next_url=home.php Add the project with this URL: http://parlea.ru/andersonattack/ Seems like you specifically need a Fermi GPU, rather than a Fermi or newer; ie Kepler, Maxwell or Pascal. Tasks will all fail with anything other than a Fermi and they will fail immediately. So unless you have a Fermi don't bother signing up! |
