DENIS@Home 09/05/2017 10:11:06 | DENIS@Home | Project has no tasks available Carro et al. New Model # Unsent tasks 0 In progress tasks 858 Runtime of last 100 tasks in hours: average, min, max 4 (1.49 - 16.97) Users in last 24 hours 75 http://denis.usj.es/denishome/project-status/ Einstein long-winded name (Continuous Gravitational Wave search Galactic Center Tuning xfreq) apps still not showing up here... Only received 2 lowFreq versions of Einstein's Continuous Gravitational Wave search Galactic Center Tuning... tasks. Neither those or the highFreq versions are showing for me. Einstein says, O1Spot1TLo Tasks to send 11,289. BM says no work is available for the lowFreq app. Have some valid returns for these apps but maybe not enough to pick up any of the lowFreq versions on my main CPU system, if that's the issue? :( |

Monkeys v1 (NCI) - Generator/1 seed 699502 123 I don't know how they can call it a NCI Wu when it keep the other projects from using the a CPU Core even though it doesn't show it using a CPU Core. My Box's show 6 WCG Wu's running & 2 Monkeys running, if the Monkey Wu's were actual NCI Wu's there should be 8 WCG Wu's running & 2 Monkey Wu's running ... All Wu's are just in a Validation pending state so far ... Validation pending (327) · Validation inconclusive (0) · Valid (0) · Invalid (0) · |

Monkeys v1 (NCI) - Generator/1 seed 699502 123 And the app hours here show v3 as nci but not v1. Glitch in goofyx's matrix perhaps? |

I got well over 100 Hr's on the Monkey 1 & 3 NCI so I deselected them for now, I need the Cores for the WCG Project my preferred Project to run if I can & don't need to run other App's to get 100 Hr's for WuProp ... |

version 3 is acting as a true nci on my boxes. version 1 seems to be the problem. I have deselected v1 and all seems to be fine. I will deselect v2 and v4 now before they start so as not to receive any unexpected surprises. Edit: Now v3 is acting up. Suspended on all boxes. |

Im getting errors with the Monkeys v3 (NCI) - Generator/Word seed v3.00 i686-pc-linux-gnu app on one of my x64 Linux systems. Basically the Intel x86-compatible CPU app version doesn't work that 'AMD' X64 CPU (under Ubuntu). So Word seed 2.00 works for me but not 3.00, on that rig. Monkeys v1 - Generator/1 seed 20.00 also fails! Not seeing any CPU usage: Monkeys v1 (NCI) - Generator/1 seed 19.00 = NCI on my W10 & Ubuntu systems Monkeys v3 (NCI) - Generator/Word seed 2.00 = NCI on my W10 & Ubuntu systems CPU time is not runtime. On my systems CPU time is between 0 sec & 2 sec, while elapsed time is ~1h. |

I thought it was because I had a recent hard drive failure and am running that box on a live USB for now. |

The NCI apps are telling BM that they need 1 CPU when they don't need any! === Just picked up some Monkeys v2 and Monkeys v4 NCI tasks. Neither uses the CPU, but might also be instructing Boinc otherwise. app_info fixes might be needed... |

Monkeys v1 (NCI) - Generator/1 seed 699502 123 The four original GoofyxGrid@Home apps should be renamed. This is what happened to all the CERN apps when they were moved. |

It would probably be best if the conversation was in the GCC forum so that Goofy could see the results from user experiences. |

Not the perfect solution but a temporary work around for the NCI Monkeys apps, as suggested before & in the http://boinc.gridcomputingcenter.org/ forum is to open your Boinc projects folder, and then the boinc.gridcomputingcenter.org folder and create an app_config.xml file with the following content (or similar):
<app_version> <app_name>monkeys_v1</app_name> <avg_ncpus>0.000001</avg_ncpus> </app_version> <app_version> <app_name>monkeys_v2</app_name> <avg_ncpus>0.000001</avg_ncpus> </app_version> <app_version> <app_name>monkeys_v3</app_name> <avg_ncpus>0.000001</avg_ncpus> </app_version> <app_version> <app_name>monkeys_v4</app_name> <avg_ncpus>0.000001</avg_ncpus> </app_version> </app_config> |

Monkeys v1 (NCI) - Generator/1 seed v2 and v4 are also online with WUs now for a while (about a day?) but still not counted...! Besides, I've running v1 as NCI and the app is called like above, but in my account it shows up without NCI, so it needs a rename: Grid computing center Monkeys v1 - Generator/1 seed 15.48 Life is Science, and Science rules. Monkeys v1 (NCI) - Generator/1 seed v2 & v4 are listed now but I lost over 200 Hr's on both because it looks like I have to start from scratch again now that their listed, this happens quite a bit it seems. Better off not to run a new app until it's listed or you take the chance you'll lose the Hr's ... |

Thanks for the app file, saves me well over 100 Cores I can use on other Projects ... :D |

Monkeys v1 (NCI) - Generator/1 seed I had ~6h listed for both this morning! Seems that sometimes there is a database scan & sometimes they are just added without scanning returned results for the new apps. One problem I've experienced from not adding a new app early is that sometimes new apps come & go before I can reach 100h, there just isn't the supply. Honestly have no idea why some people would go to the bother of setting up a Boinc server to send out 200tasks when they could be run in house in a few days or on Amazon cloud... inside 24h. |

Trying to get some of the Enigma AV Wu's but all I get is the stupid 076b_Opt Wu's, there's no option to get only the AV Wu's ... |

Trying to get some of the Enigma AV Wu's but all I get is the stupid 076b_Opt Wu's, there's no option to get only the AV Wu's ... TJM has plans to add this option later. In near future he is going to stop generating work for 0.76 app and start using AV version only. So far he has problems with server stability, so it is hard to tell when everything will be ready. |
