Well, there we are... VDVN is back up again and giving out lots of shorty tasks. Over 2 credits for a mere second. Not a bad gain I guess... ;-) Life is Science, and Science rules. To the universe and beyond Member of BOINC@Heidelberg My BOINC-Stats |

Well, there we are... VDVN is back up again and giving out lots of shorty tasks. Yes BUT I've finished over 10k tasks this morning and that MUST be alot of hammering on that drive and Server in general. IMHO he needs to find a way to lengthen the tasks to about an hour to start with, for people with 16, 24 or more cpu cores all running at once that would STILL be alot of hammering but at least he could breathe a bit. |

won't let me create an account with my usual email - already exists. won't let me attach client or login to web - wrong pwd. use "forgot password link" - looks successful, but no email arrives. no means to send a message either without logging in. Very sad. Could somebody ask the VDW admin for me plz? |

I am seeing a lot of invalids. Are the v360 and v400 apps validating against each other correctly for anyone else? With so many Windows GFLops, my Linus systems are maybe 10-20% valid while Windows system has 8k valid and just 25 invalid. |

PRIVATE GFN SERVER - GFN-1x Small Primes (gfn1x_small) 1x Small Prime is sort of an umbrella to search for primes smaller than those offered by PrimeGrid (GFN-15 & up). Currently searching GFN-12. That's my understanding anyway... |

I've sent a PM to the admin I just received this reply Daniel wrote: Thanks for relaying this message to us! Unfortunately, the project is still not working, and we've been having issues with the server upgrade that are messing with the user data (everything is backed up, of course). It looks like we were not clear enough that things are under reconstruction, and we apologize for any frustration this might have caused. We're working around the clock to get everything running again, but for now it looks like we might temporarily shut down the site in order not to create any more confusion. There was an upgrade a few hours ago that caused several database errors to show on the site, broken or deprecated links, no teams, etc. We've seen this before on other projects attempting that upgrade so I'm sure it will be eventually sorted out. |

NVIDIA Tesla T4 - 13 min My test laptop has a AMD 7470m doing the GFN 1.x small primes 1.01 in 13.5 hours. Thought the 7470m outperformed the 4600 but guess my brain glitched. https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-HD-4600-Desktop-125-GHz-vs-AMD-Radeon-HD-7470M/2168vsm9296 ---- @Michael Goetz, what is the point of the project putting out tasks for small primes? Haven't every prime in the regions they search already been found and in a searchable database? |

Are the v360 and v400 apps validating against each other correctly for anyone else? The .360's in my antiX VM are running for about 20 minutes each and successfully reporting but my server account is frozen at "in progress" shows no valid work for the VM. The Windows 7 host side ran 395x 0.400's for 20 to 60 seconds each then failed to report all but 59 and shows 145 credit. I reset the project to clear out those 330 WU's waiting to report. Not sure why the dummy Linux .360's run 20 minutes while the Windows dummy run 30 seconds. Easier to get the 100 hours on Linux although Free-DC new apps differentiates between them as if they would count as separate hours: https://stats.free-dc.org/newapps/131629/100 EDIT: Screen grab for ppl that already have their 100 hours in on both: https://ibb.co/dW9SRNt Free-DC shows no credit from the project but getting 17 hours a day on the antiX VM for WUProps. Thanks to whoever got them to fix the account creation! |

Does anyone have two VDW Number apps? On the Free-DC missing apps page it says I don't have this one: It worked THANKS!! Now back to the original question YES I also have a vdwnumbers listing in this: vdwnumbers.org: Van Der Waerden Numbers Van Der Waerden Numbers 0.00 2783.35 I have no idea why as in the normal listing I see this: Van Der Waerden Numbers 213,842 13,934 6,954 42,425 17,413 7,403.99 I think someone has a double listing in their stats file, now whether it's Willy or vdwnumbers themselves I have no clue. |
