At the moment we can only see the hours for our own apps, is there any reason this data is private?

Would it be possible to make this data available in XML form so that I could download, parse and put into a database so it could be tracked daily (I would hold last 28 days or so) at http://stats.free-dc.org

I think I could mine some fascinating data across apps. For instance it would be a simple matter to track the top apps by hours across all projects.

I added an option in WUProp@home Preferences which allows user to publicize their app hours statistics.
For example, my account data page: http://wuprop.boinc-af.org/show_user.php?userid=1

An XML export is available here. It contains data from users which accept to publicize the statistics.
Export will be updated every hours.

It's a little raw right now, but I wanted to at least get the data out there.

31 users so far have opted in.

I've got some ranking columns to add, which are per-app, not sure how meaningful they would be when not everyone opts in, but might be interesting anyway. Have to link the projects to my internal table with my shortened project names too and fix up the last7 and last28

If anyone is interested I've been redoing the stats somewhat to bring it a little more up to date. The userpage with Wuprop hours on was one of the first and it's at least closer to completion than the others :)

All columns are sortable now in any table. (client side sort)

I added the same colors as Wuprop based on the the levels, though it makes them a little difficult to read at times IMO. I guessed at the 5000hr color as I don;t have any projects there yet.

Personally I find the 'search' feature very useful on the table, try entering 'prim' for instance and it dynamically reduces the resultset

Thought I'd bump this thread given new users might not even know about the option.. There are now 488 distinct id's that have (at least at some point) checked the preferences flag here to allow their wuprop hours to be exported.

Though the data is available in the regular freedc-stats, I've been tweaking the page on my rewrite some more.

Zombie67's hours shown below for reference. Can't seem to find a decent background color which displays each color level distinctly.

Great! Just a quick note: Before I checked off to allow export I got this message:
"No data available in table" in the "WuProp Hours" table.
Could this be improved with a better explanation? i.e. "have you enabled export, if not, go here, click that...".

Edit: Vops, I spoke too soon, on http://stats.free-dc.org/ I get the more meaningful:
"You must enable the option to allow export of your hourly data at the WuProp website in your preferences to see data"
(although a description of which preference pane to click would make it even better). The original comment was based on http://stats6.free-dc.org

Good catch. I've added some verbiage to stats6 now.

As an aside, note that because I'm now using datatables there are quite a few advantages. Try typing a few letters in the search box for that table. It will restrict the list to just those characters. Case insensitive.

In the case of the background colour, as it is near impossible to see black on black and the purple on black is difficult, perhaps a light blue, though grey/silver might be difficult with this.
You could also use white with black edging.

Added project ranking within project/app to the wuprop hours data.

With this I can add a link to a page showing each app in project rank order (Work in progress).

I think I will also change this to show the colored stars too rather than the colored text like Sebastian has done here as that's so much better.

This is looking good, I like the ranking idea as you get surprised by how far up the ladder you are (as you said it is only amongst the ones who have selected the option in their preferences).

Some of the colours are hard to see but I don't see how you can get round this very easily.
