Got the message again today: "WUProp@Home: Notice from server Data collect version 3 is not available for your type of computer." on host #20725 this evening at Nov 4 2013 6:40:59 PM (CDT = GMT -6 Hrs) that correlates to Nov 5 2013 00:40:59 UTC.

That host had a task report back as completed at 5 Nov 2013 0:40:52 UTC and downloaded/assigned a new task at 5 Nov 2013 0:41:08 UTC.

So the question I have now for the admin(s) to answer and ponder over is:
Why was the server trying to send a "Data collect version 3" task when this problem supposedly was "fixed" recently and we are currently using "Data collect version 4 v4.09 (nci)"?

I'm of course not admin but my guess is:

The feeder queue at that moment run out of Data collect v4 tasks and was full with only Data collect v3 tasks (which are intended only for rare type of systems like Sony Playstation - so there are many v3 tasks 'ready to send' because of low demand)

We can't see the feeder queue but again/still at night the Server status page shows increase of 'Workunits waiting for validation' and 'Transitioner backlog (hours)' (why they increase was not explained by anybody)
Maybe some 'heavy' process runs at night (e.g. re-indexing the database) that hogs other processes.

IF WU's auto-generate from Validated WU's and the Validation process is suspended, we would run out of WU's. Could happen if the server was busy (say with database maintenance, backup, exports...). Adding more WU's would resolve that situation.

I have three identical PCs which did not complete a single work unit. All of them just produce errors.

Specs:
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3470 CPU @ 3.20GHz [Family 6 Model 58 Stepping 9]
Microsoft Windows 7 Professional x64 Edition, Service Pack 1, (06.01.7601.00)
BOINC 7.2.33

Now I also get the "...version 3..." error message as above.

All of you who get this message: did your PCs ever deliver a valid result?

I have not received any error msgs with the other 16 projects I'm calculating since 2001; I'm waiting for the first work units from this project...I do use BAM so when I click on the button to go to my account page for help, it sent me to the french site. Originally, the site didn't recognize that I was part of BAM when setting up the URL; it did take some tweaking but I did get it connected to the host in my boincstats account. It connected, obviously, but all I've gotten is the error.

If you haven't already, you might try Resetting the project first, if no change then a Detach and Re-attach could be needed to see if the problem fixes itself.

More often the system works out it has a problem and sends out the correct work unit, but that does not appear to be working in your case.

Your computer has NOT downloaded any Wuprop tasks so far. Make sure you have BOINC set to accept new work for Wuprop and network activity set to always available.

that much I did because I went back to my project list in boincstats and attached to host after selecting the amount of % to share, etc. and linking my account and host.

But I've reset my project from within BAM and requested more work and gone back into my account here and reviewed my preferences and increased as appropriate (in my estimation).
