Anybody know anything about this NetMax Project ?

Last time I checked there I couldn't register as far as I remember, thanks for the hint!
Nice that they have something to crunch now, so I registered and tried it some hours ago.
They run for about 3 hours on my system now but they seem to take up a bit on it, sometimes Windows seems to lag, but not sure where, doesn't seem to be the memory (only using about 80 MB per WU), maybe it's a bit more cpu-intensive...
I see your comps are hidden so what do the outputs say?
Maybe you're missing a .net-installation or something else...

Edit:
Got the wrong link, your comps here are hidden. No chance finding you over at NetMax with that ridiculous spam bunch there and the search doesn't seem to work well...

This is the stderr out file from one of the erred Wu's about 1 Min run time, all the other ones that erred show the same thing on 17-18 Win 7 Box's, like I said the 1 Win 8 Box I have run's some of them okay but will err some out after an hr to hr & 1/2 run time. Don't know what the Win 8 Box has the Win 7 Box's don't have ... BOINC Clients Win 7 SP1 & 7.3.11/7.4.12/7.4.22 on the Box's, I found one member running Client 7.4.27 & one running 7.0.28 so the I'm well in the Client range I would think ...

My Box's are being shown @ Netmax but not here ...

No, this doesn't look as if it has anything to do with the client version.

One of my WUs just finished and validated, so I could have a look myself, but the log is not very different from yours.
Except for the "Incorrect function" line, which seems to be the only hint, so something is definitely missing on your system...
But hard to say from only that - try to check if you have all of these installed:
.NET Framework
XNA Framework
Visual C++ Runtime/Redistributable
Visual Studio Runtime
Can't think of anything else - since I all have these installed maybe one of this is the "culprit". ;-)

I'm having exactly the same error on all my x64 crunchers but my 32 bit laptop runs them. At first I thought maybe I needed 7zip or similar installed but that's not it. Did you guys figure out what is required to run the units ?
The one factor I have figured is that netmax uses matlab which is installed on my laptop but not on my crunchers.

Beats me. Since Ste\/e didn't answer if he got it working from what I'm mentioned could've missing I'm guessing it isn't something depending on that.

What is matlab? I don't have something like that installed, but the WUs are running fine on my systems.

I did get it to run on my 2 Laptops, 1 a Q6700 about 9 Years old & 1 a i7 4700MQ (Haswell) Laptop bought last year. I never got it to run on any of my i7 3700k Computer's, I didn't run it that much either on my Laptops but will eventually I guess ...

I found this on matlab ... so my thinking is if I would disable HT on my i7 3700k Box's it might run, but then I am running HT on my 7 4700MQ (Haswell) Laptop, but my 3700 Box's are Win 7 & the 4700MQ Laptop is a Win 8.1 so the OS could have something to do with it too ...

Matlab don't support ht.

"Virtual cores may modestly improve overall system performance, but they are likely to have little effect on the performance of MATLAB applications. Intel CPUs with hyper-threading give the appearance that a computer has twice as many cores than it actually has. When using a tool such as Windows Task Manager, MATLAB may appear to use only half of the CPU cores available on the computer, when in fact the "unused" half is actually the virtual cores created by hyper-threading. There have been reports that MATLAB performance improves for some applications if hyper-threading is disabled. In most situations the performance difference will not be large enough to make this an attractive opportunity, but you may want to experiment."

In other words, matlab uses 4 out of 4 treads on your CPU.

The laptop I am running it on is hyper threaded and it works. Both my i7's fail with the same error message as you had and they are running HT. I am also running it on a xeon workstation which is not hyper threaded ( no HT on xeons ) and it fails.
Installed the matlab runtime libraries which also installs Visual C++ Runtime/Redistributable ( 2005 and 2007 I think ) and that made no difference.
All are running win 7 professional. All running the same Boinc client.
Installing 7zip did not good either.
Can't figure it out :(

I can run these on an AMD CPU (W7) but not on a Q6600 (XP-x86 non-HT), not a 4core/8thread Xeon (W7 HT CPU) and not on an i3 (W7 HT).

On the AMD system they take around 10h but the tasks don't checkpoint so its important to have LAIM on and check the task status before restarting.

Tried that but project & site are down - Can't open the http://netmaxproject.ru/netmax/ site, upload or download tasks. Will try again if & when project is up again.

I've got a few more now.
Don't like that they run with a 1day deadline as this forces high priority and in some cases prevents GPU's from crunching (as GPU apps still needs some CPU).
