Actually, the first error exact wording is: "aborted: disk limit exceeded". I started getting it on WUPropo units, now I am getting it on almost all units of all projects. Strange. he settings are not the cause, as I have the settings very generous (Use at most 99 GB, leave at least 1 GB, use at most 90 % of total disk space and 75 % of swap file).

Do you have a disk defragmenter or invasive anti-virus program running?

Strange. he settings are not the cause, as I have the settings very generous (Use at most 99 GB, leave at least 1 GB, use at most 90 % of total disk space and 75 % of swap file). I went thru the same thing a week or so ago on 1 of my Box's, I did a lot of searching thru the Slot's in the BOINC Folder Directory & found 1 Slot still had a left over Wu from some project that was taking up over 7gb's of space hence the "aborted: disk limit exceeded" Message, once I deleted that slot the problem was fixed. Usually something like that is left over from some of the Virtual Box Projects, their good at leaving thing behind mucking up your hard drive. Anyhoot try looking thru the Slot folders, just click on each one for the properties to see how much space their taking up & you may run across it that way. If you find it try deleting it, if it won't delete shut BOINC down & then it should delete ... "This computer has finished a daily quota of 1 task" You simply used up your daily Quota of WuProp Wu's which aren't very high to begin with, I've had that happen to me & just have to wait until the next day for a new WU ...

I had the same problem too. The culprit is the LHC-dev project, that runs their tasks in VMs. It effected only my windows machines. Not seeing the problem with my macs at all. I finally had to detach that project from my windows machines.

Thank you all for the advice and hints. I indeed found a CMS-dev forgotten file in one of the Slot folders. The vm_image.vdi file had 5.7 GB in size. I deleted it. Now I will also detach the project and restart Boinc and test how it runs. Hopefully I'll be able to cruch again...will let you know.

Thanks for the advice. I just ran into this problem for a second time on one of my hosts and had to find the real cause this time. Just as you said a left over vm file was the cause.

If it is the same issue then detach from the LHC-dev project, reboot and wait the 24h timeout to get more WUProp tasks (and I'm assuming your WUProp tasks all failed on that system; cant see/hidden).
