Is it possible to have the project name in the New / Intermittent applications an URL. Sometimes we just can't figure out what some of these projects are... such an example:

The application Virtual Machine for VASP (protected edition) from project prediction is active

What's this 'prediction' project anyways, you know?

Thanks

Been there almost since the beginning, but I joined without invitation. Guess this was introduced later.

You don't need a Invitation Code for Primaboinca, just attach your Box's to the Project ... http://www.primaboinca.com/

Nope, it does not work. BOINC Mgr and BAM does not allow to create new account (only use existing one), BOINC Tasks returns error that invitation code field is missing, registration form on WWW also requires it.

Apparently they never had an invitation code from the start, I would knew it then also. ;-)
According to this thread it seems it first came up in late 2015 and the code was never shared since then.

Finally I got this code. I found Primaboinca admin email on university pages and asked him about it directly, and he replied to me next day. He also asked to not make this code public, so please contact him directly if you want it too.

Could that email be posted here? Like email at university dot edu or some format?

I found it at https://www.hs-rm.de/de/hochschule/personen/campos-fabio/. Later I also found that there is another email at primaboinca page, hidden under link "contact us".

Message 5036 - Posted: 7 May 2017, 7:48:48 UTC - in response to Message 5031.

It is a closed project.

The 7 volunteer participants were personally invited by the CPDN project administrators based on their long history of interaction and problem identification/analysis on the main CPDN project.

The project tests new application versions and new sets of model parameters submitted by researchers around the world before they are released to the main project. The project has been running for 15 months and has a very high model failure rate. I've run 756 tasks (with 322 of them failing), submitting an outcome report to the project team for all of them (occasionally with a very time consuming analysis of a SysInternals Process Monitor log).

When the project started I sent Sebastien a PM asking him to maintain the project's closed status by excluding it from WUProp monitoring, but he didn't do that.

I was connected to it but my work counted against the LHC@Home project and not LHC@Home 1.0.
BTW. having multiple front ends (project interfaces) is a good clustering technique. It spreads the burden, reduces overall downtime & makes some dos attacks less effective.
