I try to find projects that are doing something interesting that I like first and then I try to maximize credit after. All I need to really start bringing on the credit is a GPU but that will have to wait until I finish renovating my house.

I agree, Have been looking at all singing and dancing pc's and dreaming away lol. Would love a decent GPU but my pc wont take the strain. Sigh.Stick together CPU users , we are dwindling in our numbers. LOL

I only crunch when my computers are turned on and I don't leave them on 24/7. I just like to get the maximum number of credits when they are on doing work behind the scenes. I do not operate a BOINC farm and only have 4 computers that crunch work units and two of them are very slow. The other two crunch both CPU and GPU work units but again only when they are turned on and not doing anything to demanding. I highly value the time my computers work on BOINC projects and the electricity thing is just a standing joke.
