Hi,
currently I've a problem where a WU is not send.

The WuProp instances is running inside a virtual machine running kubunu (Reason: the last FB sprint with universe which is much faster on ubuntu than my native opensuse.)
Universe was running fine in the VM but WuProp won't send its WU. Now it has collected more than 24h and is still running. On my opensuse the WUs finish after 6h.

On the message I see the following:

Di 29 Jun 2021 10:55:58 CEST | WUProp@Home | Project requested delay of 7 seconds
Di 29 Jun 2021 11:56:00 CEST | WUProp@Home | Sending scheduler request: Requested by project.
Di 29 Jun 2021 11:56:00 CEST | WUProp@Home | Not requesting tasks: non CPU intensive
Di 29 Jun 2021 11:56:02 CEST | WUProp@Home | Scheduler request completed
Di 29 Jun 2021 11:56:02 CEST | WUProp@Home | Project requested delay of 7 seconds

This repeats every hour.

Any ideas or hints to send the WU ?

Jürgen

I will give a wild ass guess...maybe try a different Linux distro and see if it works then, maybe it just doesn't like your kubuntu OS. I have never run a VM like that so have no clue.

Now let's get down to brass tacks!

Just had to cancel a WU with 7 days running time, because the was not sent :-(((.
The new WU is now again at 20 days.
Also [Refresh] in the Boinc-Manager brings nothing.
In the logs there is only one entry every hour:

Sat 08 Jan 2022 10:46:30 CET | WUProp@Home | Project requested delay of 7 seconds

A change of the Linux distribution is not in question (stay with OpenSuse).
The computer is native (not a VM)

Can someone give me a hint why the WUs are not sent?

Are you trying to run both a wuprop task inside your VM AND outside the VM as well? That is expressly prohibited...one wuprop task per pc at a time.

Hi

in the past, I rum multiple "Bunker"instances for some Challenges (Formula Boinc, Boincstats) on the computer.
Virtualization software is not installed on this computer.

No, this cannot be correct, as far as I know only multiple VM instances of WU-Prop are prohibited.
If it were like you said, it would not be possible anymore to run a Linux VM on a Windows machine and vice versa (for example). And this is exactly what I did until last year to get hours from projects were only Linux apps were available...

Jeez, that was a lot of lost time... my "condolences".
WUprop tasks NEVER need more than 6 hours so if you see one which has more, immediately cancel it. Unfortunately the recorded time for it is always lost...
Also, you ONLY get a new task when old ones are completed/canceled and reported.
It can happen from time to time that tasks run longer than the 6 hours, don't know why this is so, I had them a few times also, on Windows and on Linux VMs.
Nothing can be done about it so far unfortunately. But if it happens repeatedly something really is wrong...
