OLDK2025 wants to give cookies identifying me, creating an account, to Google.
Pretty sure I haven't had to do this before but maybe my remembrance is flawed.

Been very careful to avoid data mining of my internet habits by Google.
Our browsers can be uniquely fingerprinted
(https://ibb.co/drRX2d1 )
and even if I use a VPN to another country they'll still know it's me.

Does Google reCaptcha detect my chosen name, email address in the creation box?
I don't believe so but they will add to their compiled data about my browser fingerprint that, I use BOINC, and this website I connected to.

(I have tried to use scriptsafe and work on the unique attributes of this laptop to make my browser fingerprint not unique, but have failed. Only solution would maybe to install a very generic, Windows version in a VM that doesn't leak local machine attributes but that strange install on a VM will probably make it 'unique',*sigh*)

Solution?
I'm going to browse from a Windows 10 server to sign up. It might be a unique browser fingerprint but it will be something Google reCaptch never saw before and an unknown quantity. Then I can unplug the modem and get a new IP address before using my laptop again.

Why?

If this is when you are putting in your password, I found that if you select "show password" and then add your password it wont take you off on that password screen which shows some of your other projects and passwords.

On a different note....try Duckduckgo dot com for your next browser, they DO track you, like all browsers while you are suing their browser but once you leave and go do something else, unlike the other borowsers, FaceBook etc they STOP tracking you.

Well, sometimes if my brain wasn't in my skull, I'd forget it somewhere...

All I had to do is Add Project in the VM and use BOINC's new account option on the correct URL and what Google?
There's no Google sniffer here!

Had to change the account name from Administrator to marmot later but; no probs.
