or to integrate the project into the BOINC Manager.Do not leave the project secret-)) It's up to the guys at Berkeley to integrate the WUProp-project and URL into the BOINC manager. However, as far as I know they have strict rules about what makes it into there. I don't know what WUProp is missing to not be listed in the projects list. Life is Science, and Science rules. Well the first time I received the BOINC manager message I removed the project and then reinstalled using the new URL and all appeared to be fine. When I pulled up the project home page from within the BOINC manager it went to the correct URL. Well I am now getting repeat messages that I am using the old URL so there is a gap somewhere. Bill F *** Correction *** Well Darn used a Cut "n Paste ... the new URL did not have a "S" in the HTTPS. Details ... Details ... will do again sorry for the fire drill. I detached 1 Box from Wuprop so I could use the suggested URL to get rid of the Wrong URL Message & now the project won't let me re-attach the Box saying I'm using a "Bad password / Invalid password" ... I'm not using a "Bad password / Invalid password" it's the same password I use at all the Projects, I re-entered the password at the project & Cap's Lock isn't on either to give the error so I don't know what the problem is ... Glad I didn't decided to just do all at once & just tried it on 1 Box 1'st, will lose the Hr's off that box I guess until the project decides to accept the password ... |

You can stop BOINC, copy the account_wuprop.boinc-af.org.xml file from one of your other systems and restart BOINC. That will cause BOINC to use the authenticator in the file to automatically reconnect to the project. If the system you copy from isn't connected to the https site you'll need to change all occurrences of "http:" to "https:" in the file before restarting BOINC. Yeah Thanks already did that yesterday, the problem was with BoincTasks, it gets stupid now & then ... :) |
