Message 6700 - Posted: 30 May 2019, 18:34:59 UTC - in response to Message 6699.

What is the app name? WCG has had several apps with 'beta' in the name over the years.

There is an active WCG app called "Beta" with 1 task completed in the past 24 hours according to the link on the WUProp home page.

It's called "beta", same as all the earlier WCG beta tests I've done. But even if it was called something else, it should still be showing up as *something*.

The tasks haven't completed yet, but as far as I know, for the last couple of years, WUProp has been recording in-progress tasks.

I think that's a GPU Grid app.

If it was 'beta' vs 'Beta' then I think WUProp might recognize that as a separate app. The 'Beta' version was the 1 task I saw, which is now gone of course. I have several WCG beta apps named: Beta Test, Beta, Beta - FightAIDS@Home - VINA, and Beta - The Clean Energy Project - Phase 2.

There are some apps that do not start with a capital letter so I would think that matters in terms of having credit in beta vs Beta. If so then there always seems to be a delay from the first set of tasks to when hours show up on user's home pages. At least recently, the hours have been backdated to include the ones that haven't shown up yet prior to the sticky post.

There's more than one strange thing going on here.

When I looked earlier, I said "the current test "beta" is the same name as what I have in my WUProp hours list". And it was. It said "beta" before.

Right now, it says "Beta Test". Somebody's been messin' with the database!

Trying to fix whatever is wrong, no doubt.

It doesn't matter much to me, personally. I'm in this for the WCG badge, not the WUProp hours. In terms of hours, it works for me either way. If it gets combined with the existing WCG beta hours, great. It will bump up that app's star a color or two. If it ends up being a new app, then I have one more app with a star. It's good either way.

I have "Beta Test" in red, i.e. inactive, and "Beta" just turned black, i.e. active, but no hours added to it.
Current tasks have application "7.19 beta" so if case is checked may explain issue.

Edited to add that 1 beta briefly showed in Active projects but now none shown.

Paul.

I think the apps active in last 24 hours link needs a task to complete during one of the 6hr WUProp tasks. Very few RNA tasks complete/are running so it might be hours in past month active but not task in past 24 hours active.

XaNSoNS for CoD should start in about 2.5 hours.

We'll see if they increased the bandwidth to the feeder server this week.

New PrimeGrid app. It is also MT, like all of their other LLR apps now.

PPS LLR (PPS, PPSE, MEGA, DIV) Looks like it will be included in with the rest of the PPS LLR App's so no new badge for the App ...

Right: no new badge, but it will be a new WUProp app. Assuming, of course, WUProp starts recording PrimeGrid LLR hours again. It hasn't been recording any LLR hours on any app since we switched to the (mt) plan class.

Does anyone know the URL of iThena project? 23 tasks have been completed by someone running WUProp.

No project description, no forum.

I tried to join but an invitation code is required. None given on the web page. Guess the project is still in pre-beta stage.

Is project La Red Atrapa Sismos running? I keep seeing hours at the free-dc missing hours page but the site seems down and it's not listed as an active project:

There is currently no invitation code. A simple description is available. It is indeed pre-beta.
