Do you get Credit for the Time run when the Wu is turned in or when it is Validated, I think it is when it is validated but want confirmation on that ... https://signature.statseb.fr/sig-1323.png https://stats.free-dc.org/badgesbanner.php?cpid=13a87c3a303bcdca4ba0ed600daebb6b |

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think each apps time tally is based on the CPU time spent running each app, and when I 'returned & reported' the WUProp task that was running when the Ralph tasks were running I was credited with the 2.82h. WUProp WU's are 3h. When an 8h task runs you would either be credited with 3h, 3h and 2h, for each part that the WUProp task saw running, or 8h once if WUProp only records the CPU time when tasks are reported during it's 3h run. At Ralph I think I was credited a bit later than here. I think WUProp stats are updated when each WUProp task returns, and WUProp tasks validate immediately after being reported, so there is no real lag there. WRT the WUProp badges, you definitely get credit for time spent on 'other projects' tasks when the tasks fail, which is a good thing. I think GPU time is based on Elapsed Time rather than CPU time. |

...or 8h once if WUProp only records the CPU time when tasks are reported during it's 3h run. It's this one; I've been running an RNA task for 30h, but it's not listed here. My concern about this method of data collection is that some tasks, such as those run by RNA Worlds CMSearch, MindModeling, Lattice Project, Donate... don't checkpoint. For a 20min task it's not an issue, but for a 2 or 3 days task it is. I expect closing and opening Boinc would reset the CPU Time. Not sure about suspending with LAIM off... Steve, As yet I have no Boinc Credis for SLinCA@Home (all their tasks fail), but I do have my CPU times listed here per app, so SLinCA's tasks don't have to validate, just get reported: SLinCA@Home heavy_lodci011eq32v0p125T1XZ22 - MIN:runtime~16h(checkpoint 2h),RAM~536MB,HDD~60MB 1.67 SLinCA@Home heavy_lodci011eq32v0p125T1XZ38 - MIN:runtime~28h(checkpoint 2h),RAM~1GB,HDD~60MB 16.38 SLinCA@Home heavy_lodci011eq32v0p125T1XZ36 - MIN:runtime~24h(checkpoint 2h),RAM~1GB,HDD~60MB 27.55 |

@ skgiven, SLinCA is one project that when you stop and restart BOINC it resets the CPU time. This is not a problem for WUProp as it appears to keep track of the actual run time, but the Project (SLinCA) only credits you with the CPU time returned by BOINC. So for a 26 Hour SLinCA work unit, that runs for 10 hours then BOINC is restarted, only reports 16 Hours to SLinCA project and you get credit for the 16 hours not the 26 hours. I have had happen more than once and it is annoying. I seem to get the full time reported to WUProp though. At least that is what it appears, not the shorter time. All time spent on a work unit, even failed ones get credit. WUProp is concerned with running times of projects so it reports the run times of projects not the successful work units as that is a projects concern. Overall I think it is a good idea and I just need another two applications to get to 100 hours to get a Bronze badge. Conan |

Thanks Conan, good to know WUProp can keep track. My issue with SLinCA is that none of my tasks worked, either on Win or Linux. Another project that I've no credit for is AlmereGrid TestGrid. I completed plenty of tasks for them, but they haven't been giving me credits. Pity this badge system wasn't up when I was running their credit free tasks. Started running a Climate model yesterday, 10% (23h) in. It uses a trickle up method of reporting. While I have 311.04 Boinc Credits there, for the in-progress task, I have none listed here. So I'm not expecting any until it's reported in about 10days time. They have a few different app models, so it's a good project to run if you want to notch up a few apps:

ibercivis alone has 32 apps to choose from. So, if you support more then one project it will not be difficult to get to 20. As far as I can tell Ibercivis is only running wilson primes. I don't think they have had any other active project for over a year. From the WUProp results page you can only see, ibercivis Search for wilson primes 4.6 (-541.0 - 5.0)

I think there is a problem you should notice : one of our team member found that to Virtual mang Threads could get more crunch time that normal。this behavior may confuse the Statistics。if one core use one hour finish one wu,Virtual 24 Threads will show that finish one wu use 24 hours。 he have turn off Virtual Threads and reported this problem, here is the Original: WUProp的牌å看的是è¿è¡Œæ—¶é—´è€Œä¸æ˜¯CPU时间= = http://www.equn.com/forum/thread-36648-1-1.html hope this will useful to you |

I noticed my machine had the Data collect version 3 3.41 windows_intelx86 (nci) for a short time, ~ 18 hours. After/since then (16 Feb 2013 9:09:58 UTC) my machine have the Data collect version 3 3.42 windows_intelx86 (nci). What was different in 3.41 and is different in 3.42? Thanks. |

I've just noticed my reported data hasn't changed all night (approx 8 hours). Is there a problem? |

Question: If you Abort a Bad Wu from a Project do you get Credit here at WUProp for the Time spent running the Wu before you Aborted it ??? Also if a Wu doesn't report back to a Project correctly like the SLinCA & CAS Projects have a tendency to do do you get Credit here for the time spent running them ??? Thanks https://signature.statseb.fr/sig-1323.png https://stats.free-dc.org/badgesbanner.php?cpid=13a87c3a303bcdca4ba0ed600daebb6b |

STE\/E wrote: Question: If you Abort a Bad Wu from a Project do you get Credit here at WUProp for the Time spent running the Wu before you Aborted it ??? I don't believe so. For the purpose of badges, WUProp seems to record the hours of a task when it reaches the Ready to Report state on your client. Also if a Wu doesn't report back to a Project correctly like the SLinCA & CAS Projects have a tendency to do do you get Credit here for the time spent running them ??? As long as they reach Ready to Report on your client, then the time spent should be recorded. My reasoning for those answers is based on tracking of my machines. I aborted a task on a project and the time for that project did not change here at WUProp. Also, since I use settings of .50 min cache and 1.00 additional cache, work fetch can be delayed a day or more, but any tasks that make it to Ready to Report on my client add to the WUProp totals even if they have not reported back to their project as finished. |

Question: If you Abort a Bad Wu from a Project do you get Credit here at WUProp for the Time spent running the Wu before you Aborted it ??? G'Day Steve, I believe that you do get the time credited here, as I aborted a SLinCA work unit (one of those Windows ones with the ZIP problem) after about 1 1/2 hours and I have been credited for 1.25 hours for that WU type. This also occurs with YOYO ECM work units on my Windows 32 bit computers that then run out of memory and fail, they create a Windows Pop-Up box that stays until I close it and it keeps a CPU Core held and the run time going until then. This time is added to my time score here (I have to be selective with ECM tasks and abort certain types I know will fail). As far as I know WUProp tracks work unit run time/CPU time and WU type for its stats. Completed work is really a projects concern not for WUProp to worry about. Conan |

I aborted a bad 60 Hr CAS Wu 3 days ago & haven't been Credited here yet for it & why I was asking. I know Computation Errors & such you get Credit here for the work but not at the Project ... https://signature.statseb.fr/sig-1323.png https://stats.free-dc.org/badgesbanner.php?cpid=13a87c3a303bcdca4ba0ed600daebb6b |

I've seen no project hours increase so far today. Earlier today I reported dozens of tasks for several different projects. Such updates use to be live, or close to it. I'm guessing the updates are now being done differently. Perhaps every 8h or something. Either that or page requests are being told there is no change on an update/refresh request. I expect this project has been attracting more attention and is seeing more/too many hits...new app. I also got runtime credit for SLinCA tasks which failed. Last time I checked their site I saw that the researcher had said he was too busy to fix it! I'm quite happy to wait, for years. When I ran a climate model (with trickle updates) I didn't get any runtime credit here until the task reported. Although the task I'm referring to crashed, I did get the appropriate run time credited by WUProp. CAS and other projects might handle failures differently. Some projects reset the runtime and CPU time if the task fails. Roll up, roll up, come and get your bling - ibercivis now has an active Drug liberation simulations at the nanoscale 1.03 app. It's been a while, and might not last too long. Be warned Report deadline is ~3days, so cache appropriately. |

I seen some earlier, about 7-8 Hr's ago but haven't really seen any since. Had the same problem early yesterday about the same time but then the Updates started flowing again ... https://signature.statseb.fr/sig-1323.png https://stats.free-dc.org/badgesbanner.php?cpid=13a87c3a303bcdca4ba0ed600daebb6b |
