Earned by 13th star. Congratulations to you Jeff17, and well done. I thought I was going to catch you but like skgiven you have jumped ahead of me. Changing the colours is often harder than getting the applications in the first place. Conan |

<-- Got the 14th star this night! That took 5 months and 6 days this time, longer than before. Wonder how long will it take to the next one... Life is Science, and Science rules. To the universe and beyond Member of BOINC@Heidelberg My BOINC-Stats |

How many applications have you collected? Still hungry for more? Lets see how you fared last month. Bok's "Free-DC" web site shows your hours and how you rank against others (you must allow for the hours export in you account preferences, there is no security problems as no one can access your account). Just allow the export and as you pass 180 applications I can add you to this list. Since last month Sphynx has returned to the list by allowing the hour data export function in his account. Applications to run are fairly easy to find, but running them to 100 hours or more is another matter entirely. You might have to search to get new applications that suit your needs, so sometimes you add no applications in the month and other times you add a number of applications, you just need patience. I am still building hours in a number of applications, some new and some I have been working on for a while. A computer software crash slowed me down for a number of days (no matter what I did I could not get BOINC running with the Berkeley installer set up that I have been using for years, had to do a repository install to get it working, 4 days of headaches). On-wards with the fun. Conan |

Well done on the updates, thanks for the updates recap & me too, too; regarding Lime! 15th star filled out the 3rd badge & 4th star should update to Sapphire on the next server refresh… ... -> ... Making some progress but still 9 apps away from a Lime update, 16 from a 3rd Magenta, 5 from an Emerald, 6 from Ruby, 12 from Gold, 11 from Silver. Could get the Emerald and Ruby in the next few weeks, if I focus exclusively on those but I’m also looking to update some of the smaller stars/apps and want to work towards some of those big stars now, before the apps vanish for ever. Would also like to get a 5th Sapphire this year, another Magenta and add an Emerald to my second badge (closest). Maybe enough apps will turn up to get another star or two… |

Well done on the updates, thanks for the updates recap & me too, too; regarding Lime! Congratulations to you skgiven. I missed adding your 14th star in my last update (sorry about that, don't know how I missed it), but I did congratulate you when you actually got your 14th star. And now more congratulations for getting your 15th star and a 3rd full badge. Conan |

11'th 10k Star & 14'th 5k Star recently ... :D Way to go STEVE, that is phenomenal. Keep it going, soon to be 15 x 5k stars, I think only zombie67 may have reached that mark. Conan |

A big upgrade for me, I now have my 13th Star. A number of new applications has helped me get there. >>>> Still working on more colours. Any more colour upgrades will take awhile. I doubt that World Community Grids Help Stop TB (only ever got 5 WUs) and Smash Childhood Cancer (have only gotten 3 WUs), are going to help me much, as I can't get enough work to get to 100 hours for either of them. I have a feeling that HSTB may even be finished so no help there. So I was lucky that a few others came along. Conan |

Congrats on #13 Conan. Getting enough tasks to even reach 100h is an all too frequent problem: - norlist Context-independent stage application 0.28h Managed to get enough SCC from WCG to reach gold here, but I didn't get any for several days after the project started. I suspect that they phased in contribution to the new sub-project/app by regions or some other selection system, as any project preferences I made didn't stick (reverted) for a days or so. HSTB is only at 7% according to the WCG side, so there is hope yet, https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/research/viewAllProjects.do |

https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/research/viewAllProjects.do That's a useful link but I'm taking it with a pinch of salt as CEP has been listed as intermittent for a very long time and has been inactive for >>30 days. Yet here it's shown as 93%, implying there is work still to be done. Caveat Emptor. |

O/T It is difficult to work out what the state of different sub-projects is at WCG and I would agree that any intermittent project at 90%+ which hasn't had work for months might really be finished; many have sat at the intermittent state for months/years and then simply updated to complete. That said, Help Stop TB is only at 8% so there might be plenty of work to come. Don't know why only 139 tasks were returned in the last 24h (haven't read the relevant threads) but it might be that they are produced in batches, analyzed on completion and then another batch is released. Some previous projects had bursts of high activity followed by lulls. |
