Message 6122 - Posted: 15 May 2018, 21:03:31 UTC - in response to Message 6117.

According to announcements, WCG will launch a few new projects (apps) in the coming weeks/months. I'm sure I'll want to take them all past 5000h fairly sharpish.

Most probably it would be months, WCG has to release beta apps first.

Congratulations Gibson, it takes a lot of effort to get any star, good on you.

(I can also add you to my list now.)

13th star upgraded to Ruby:

...
-->
...

11 apps from an upgrade to Blue, 7 apps from an Emerald, 11 from a Gold and 7 off another Silver; but that update would need new apps...

Reached 10years for WCG's OET app (there). Will try to take the app to 100,000h here before moving on.

WCG exports aren't really needed for WUProp to collect the data and report it as WUProp isn't really pulling the data from WCG rather from your PC. Or at least that is how I understand it.

That appears to be CORRECT! My WCG project hourly stats are still being updated here at WuProp.

Message 6141 - Posted: 7 Jun 2018, 13:52:45 UTC - in response to Message 6118.

Not a lot of new applications released over the last month, but that did not stop people adding more applications to there lists.. How many were you able to snag and build up 100 hours+ on to get a new star?

Lets see how you fared last month.

Bok's "Free-DC" web site shows your hours and how you rank against others (you must allow for the hours export in you account preferences, there is no security problems as no one can access your account).
Just allow the export and as you pass 180 applications I can add you to this list.

Since last month

POGS has called it a day and has now closed down, also the Duchamp project has folded as well.
Leiden Classical has also now called it a day and has reached "End Of Life".

A number of people from certain teams have stopped data export of their apps counts to Bok's web site.
Suspect this was due to last months BOINC Pentathlon, most have re-allowed data export again but a few haven't yet, but I'm sure they will be back.

Returned crunchers are Mumps[MM], zombie67[MM], Bryan and Sphynx.

FourOh, shiva, MindCrime have yet to turn back on data export.

Sorry STEVE, zombie67 [MM] is back so he takes over 1st place again.

Maxwell [MM] is crunching again and has returned to the list, joining Raspo who came back last month.

We have one new member added to the list.

Some people have improved their badge levels with new stars added.

Anyone that has been crunching the new collatz CPU app, found they lost an app on their lists as it was consolidated with a previous app with the same name (the project had modified its name, but same project and app)

As mentioned last month

Special mention goes to zombie67 who has collected a 6th badge for over 520 applications of 100 hours+.

Also congratulations goes to Mumps[MM] for attaining the Number One position on the participants list, highest Points and Hours.

Onward we march to add even more applications.

A bit of movement on the list as people came back onto the list. For some people badges have been regained from months ago when the app reshuffle removed a number of apps from peoples lists.

Bok has created a new listing which can help you find apps to run, you have to allow the data export so he can gather information for you.

Congratulations to all the people who earned new badges, well done.

I hope I didn't miss anybody, scanning the stats list to find people and going in and counting all their apps does take time. Placing them in this list takes even longer.

There seems to be a few other projects that have gone by the wayside as well, just have to wait and see if they get going again, they have either stopped or just having a break.
I will have to get a list together one day to see which projects are no longer alive.

Working on changing the colours of the stars I have, oh and adding a few more applications where I can.

On-wards with the fun.

Conan, Thank you for your monthly summaries!

BOINC-Netsoft stats site has a Summary of retired projects which seems pretty accurate. James should be updating the list soon with new entries.

It should fairly easy to copy/paste into a spreadsheet for sorting, formatting, and being able to post the output here.

The list here:
http://boinc.netsoft-online.com/e107_plugins/boinc/bp_retired.php

4th Star has turned SAPPHIRE (or Blue if you prefer)

>>>>

Should change on next update

It has taken since January since I could update a badge with a new colour. It is a slow process.

People with 200 or more applications and at least 10 Stars.

The number of people that have now gotten to 200 Applications or more (applications that have passed 100 hours each) and the number of Stars each has gotten has changed a lot since I first updated this list in November 2016.

By July 2017 another 23 more people had reached 200 applications and gained 10 Stars.
Quite a few people have increased their Star and application totals.

After a year (November '16 to November '17) at least 35 additional people have reached 200+ applications and 10 stars.

That made for a total of about 88 people that have now reached 200+ applications and 10+ stars.

From November '17 to June '18 another 12 people have reached 200+ applications and 10 Stars.

This means that 100 people have now reached 200+ applications.

I can't give exact totals of the applications because not everyone exports their hour data (you can allow this in your account).

For this list I will not be giving exact app numbers just what is indicated by the amount of stars people have, just to keep it even.

People underlined allow hour export and are on my number of applications list.

Nearly everyone on this list will have processed many more applications than listed but not enough yet to get to the next star level.

This list shows there are a few people who would change the order that my number of applications list (another post, this thread) is showing people. But as those people don't allow data export, I don't know their exact app number I can't list them.

Names in orange are people that appear to be no longer running WUProp@home.

It takes a lot of effort to get to 200 applications but as you can see some people have gone way beyond 200 and even passed 300 and 400 applications.

22 people have passed 300 applications, 5 have passed 400 with 1 passing 500.

When this project started I didn't think there were enough applications to get to 100 applications (the original highest badge level was 5 Sapphire Blue Stars, first achieved by STEVE.

At least 40 people have now reached 5 x Sapphire Blue Stars (5,000 hours).

19 people have gone past Blue and have reached 5 x Pink (10,000 hours).

7 people have also past Pink and have reached 5 x Lime Green (25,000 hours).

4 people have then moved on past Lime Green to 5 x Cyan (50,000 hours).

1 person (Mumps [MM]) has reached the maximum of 5 x Purple (100,000 hours)

zombie67 [MM] and STEVE have both also reached 5 x Lime for their 2nd badges, with zombie67 [MM] having 5 x Pink for his 3rd badge and STEVE has 5 x Blue for his 3rd badge.
Bryan and Mumps [MM] have now added 5 x Blue for their 2nd Badges

STEVE has also 4 stars that now have reached Purple (100,000 Hours)

It is all a bit of fun, and I like statistics.

mmonnin, I am very sorry to have missed you,
it could of been due to me recording these figures a few days ago and only getting round to compiling them later (2 days later I think it was).
I did not go back and recheck all the people I had recorded as it just takes me too long.

So an update is due then, with mmonnin now also getting 200 applications we have

101 people now who have reached 200+ applications.

Which is truly amazing when you think about it.

Sorry again mmonnin

I figured the data was pulled before hand. I had just received that 200th app a few days ago. No problem at all. Thanks for the analysis. :)

It seems that I also have disappeared from the list. Few months ago I added [B@P] prefix to my name and you picked this change. However now on the list is only another Daniel, which is not me - he got his 11th star this month, whereas I have 11 for few months now.

G'Day [B@P] Daniel,

(Bugger it, a second error)

This is my mistake, I am sorry to say.

The Daniel listed in my 200+ app list is you ([B@P] Daniel), and I have you recorded in my spreadsheet as [B@P] Daniel.

However when I updated my 200+ application post from last November, I missed updating your name to the new one.

And I re-read my post more than once, so I missed it a few times unfortunately (my only excuse is, it was just past midnight when I finished updating my post, so I was getting a bit tired).

You noticed that the Daniel listed went from 10 stars to 11 stars, just like you did, because it is you.

I try and be as careful as I can, and I did update a couple of other names that had changed, so I don't know how I missed yours when it is written in my spreadsheet correctly.

So don't be upset, you have not disappeared, you are still on the list, just that I was a bit lax, when proof reading my listing and screwed up.

Sorry again about that, pity I can't go back in and edit it.

(The only other way I can fix it now is to re-post the whole list, with both you and mmonnin edited in, if you want me to do that let me know)

Well, I finally spent enough time hunting stars to have managed to get my third star on the fourth ring. 360 Apps finally, but not enough left to even think I could make it to the next star soon. :)

12th star for me. Very unlikely that I'll upgrade any stars in the near future as I'm concentrating my efforts on just 3 or 4 projects for a while.

Congratulations Mumps,

I don't know how you found so many new apps in just a month, you really were hunting. I am lucky to find an app a month, you have gone well beyond that (on the 7th of this month you had 343 apps, now you have 360).

Great job
