Is Distributed Date Processing ever going to open up to other users? Distributed Data and Media Processing PAQ8PX v201 Compressor 0.00 1155.23 https://boinc.moisescardona.me/server_status.php --------------------------- Oh, if anyone wasn't able to get their 100k credit for Nano@Home: the project just released a new bunch of WU's. The VM RAM requirements are 3072MB (did they raise it?); came home to find 2 servers in turmoil. 1 had the GUI crash the other had 30+ fatal exception error boxes. Going to limit it to 4 WU's (doh!) ----------------------- |

Distributed Date Processing http://wuprop.boinc-af.org/forum_thread.php?id=191&postid=6320 Nano@Home it seems that many projects with VBox have raised the memory requirement to 3.7GB, Rosetta even to 6.3GB maybe this is a common task requirement with the docker beef@home http://wuprop.boinc-af.org/forum_thread.php?id=351&postid=7943 this is the 3rd incarnation of the project (name change, then URL change) these are all experiments of the team that launched minecraft under the boinc pay attention - finds prine nunbers perhaps this is some kind of special algebra exclusively for those with a cubic globe :o) |

Nano@Home Can someone post the URL for this? I think I missed this if it's not nanoHub or one of the other nanocalled projects... Life is Science, and Science rules. To the universe and beyond Member of BOINC@Heidelberg My BOINC-Stats |

Nano@Home I was assuming NanHub when I read it. I have a task atm and it uses 1.8GB of memory. Not bad for a VBox task. |

I was assuming NanHub when I read it. Me too at first. I guess Sergey simply wanted to spare some typings since I just saw that the other project name is also shortened. I found nothing for Nano@Home (except a non-BOINC homepage) so I probably really thought a bit too far. ;-) Life is Science, and Science rules. Nano@Home Here ya go: https://boinc.nanohub.org/nanoHUB_at_home/ So the credit is very small, the WU's are short (2 - 8 mins) yet copy a 2.9GB file to each new /data/slot (use a RAM cache, the WU's will use up the life of your SSD drives and badly fragmented my SAS array - 450 data slots created under BOINC/data/slots) and it's Boinc2Docker so works best with Virtual Box 5.2.44 (downgrade, the issues w/ VBox 6 were annoying). I made 10 (ten) total credit last night on 2 machines from all the issues (high invalid rate) so stopped work on them and dedicating the backup server (for cold weather heating) to attempt 8x NanoHub with a newly installed test RAM cache. If the test server can eliminate the invalids and start turning in 2000 credit/day; I'll let it go otherwise giving up on this project goal of 100k credit. |

Nano@Home I made the same mistake. We both need to "LEARN 2 READ". Or at least read more carefully! It's not nanoHUB; it's just "nano". It's a different project and nobody seems to have the URL. Want to find one of the largest known primes? Try PrimeGrid. Or help cure disease at WCG. |

I apologize for this confusion :( I was replying to a message and automatically used the spelling of names as in the source I only know the nanoHUB@Home project |

I'm the one that started the conversation here: http://wuprop.boinc-af.org/forum_thread.php?id=191&postid=8063posted but called it Nano@Home instead of NanoHub@home (can't edit the message and remove the confusion). The URL is definitely https://boinc.nanohub.org/nanoHUB_at_home/ and I'm running units to get my 100k credit now. Can not find a project called Nano@Home. Free-DC has 3 projects with 'Nano' listed in archived/current: https://stats.free-dc.org/index/#boinc_projects NanoHub@home nanosurf@home NanoHive@Home |

The URL is definitely https://boinc.nanohub.org/nanoHUB_at_home/ and I'm running units to get my 100k credit now. Now THAT would take an awful long time or a HUGE amount of processors as fast as they are!!! |

The URL is definitely https://boinc.nanohub.org/nanoHUB_at_home/ and I'm running units to get my 100k credit now. What did you just say about learning to read? Your own words. The hours are easily visible to anyone and its not a new project. Also mentioned "running to get" aka not there yet. |

The URL is definitely https://boinc.nanohub.org/nanoHUB_at_home/ and I'm running units to get my 100k credit now. LOL -- it's a reading problem, for sure. I glanced at my own account at NanuHub and misread "1,833" as "1.833" (i.e. eighteen hundred misread as one point eight) and thought "With all that, I have less than 2 credits there!!!" and couldn't imagine you going for 100K credits. Hence my question. 100 thousand hours seemed several orders of magnitude easier than 100 thousand credits! Want to find one of the largest known primes? Try PrimeGrid. Or help cure disease at WCG. |

The URL is definitely https://boinc.nanohub.org/nanoHUB_at_home/ and I'm running units to get my 100k credit now. And for nanohub@home it too may seem new as it has only this week started putting out tasks for the second time in 11 months. Small credits and frequent errors. The URL is definitely https://boinc.nanohub.org/nanoHUB_at_home/ and I'm running units to get my 100k credit now. Yup same as before. Run for 2.5 hr and abort or complete in a few minutes. 34 people have 100k(+) credit at NanoHUB including myself. Most came quite some time ago. |

The URL is definitely https://boinc.nanohub.org/nanoHUB_at_home/ and I'm running units to get my 100k credit now. I am far from that at only @30k and my valid tasks are struggling to stay ahead of the invalid and error tasks: Valid (11419) · Invalid (3660) · Error (7296) |

Yikes, the project must never purge results Valid (68375) · Invalid (6014) · Error (6050) Most of those Valids were in 2019. |

beef@Home got a new URL: My tasks went from a few seconds in the beginning which seemed to cause Server problems to a bit over 4 hours each, on an older laptop, today which hopefully will calm things down a bit for them |
