No, 100k credit. 100k hours is out of the question. I see others on the forums with over 100k credit and thought it might be achievable if I could figure out why my machines were having issues. Jim1348 (in this thread: https://boinc.nanohub.org/nanoHUB_at_home/forum_thread.php?id=175&postid=707#707) strongly suggested I add a RAM cache to machines running it. Before adding the RAM cache, the NanoHub WU's would thrash the hell out of the array (each WU seems to copy a complete 3GB VM drive to the new data slot) and I was lucky to get 1 WU running at time and 50 credit a day. The one machine dedicated to NanoHub broke 2000 credit Monday, running 10 WU's at once, but now the Computation Error rate is hitting 98% and the WU's are retiring with max errors of 5 across multiple machines. If the work output ends soon then the 100k goal is out of sight. Those WU's are some of the most demanding on the drive assembly I've seen. Certainly wouldn't run them on a computer with SSD BOINC data drives. IMO, I thought the project had died and this was a surprise resurrection. |

Anyone know what's up with beef@home? BOINC has not been able to connect to project for about 36 hours. If you try to load project web site it takes over a minute to connect, then suddenly you the the following message: beefathome is temporarily shut down for maintenance. Please try again later. I get the following message in BOINC's error log along with a 24 hour back-off: 4/23/2021 01:20:45 | beef@home | [error] No scheduler URLs found in master file |

Hopefully they are working just working on it. I was receiving a feeder not running message for quite a while so at least that has changed. |

new apps Finding it hard to catch one of these. The preferences are tricky. Set to receive beta tasks, chose 'Gamma-ray pulsar search #5' for CPU only, chose to use GPU's but not to use the CPU and hoping the server sends O3AS to the GPU's. If I choose the 'Gravitational Wave search O2 Multi-Directional GPU' then the GPU's get those WU's and not the beta (maybe the beta would slip in a few times over the day?). Do BOINC servers have a heuristic on what clients to pick for beta WU sends? Like minimum RAC requirement? |

new apps I think the project in the settings page is "Continuous Gravitaional Wave search O2 All-sky", the 6th project listed. Its abbreviation, the last time this was used, was O2AS20-500. I.e, that was the all-sky second observational run, and the new tasks will be the all-sky third observational run. That being said, there's no tasks, so it's just a guess. It's going tp be a regular app with (hopefully) lots of tasks, so there's probably little benefit to trying to snag 100 hours worth of tasks while it's still in beta. Do BOINC servers have a heuristic on what clients to pick for beta WU sends? Einstein is not really an ordinary server, there are many different rules for what task, when and to which host to assign you can see the decision protocol for the last communication with the server host list - last column (last contact) |

Drupal page does not yet have an option for a new application - will appear, as always, too late (the standard preference page is not available) but you can use the previous "all sky" app as a template for the anonymous platform you just need to manually download the new executable and keep a close eye on the version update That being said, there's no tasks, so it's just a guess. SiDock website is back up until they break it again. *** Appears Everything has been set back to December 2020 or January 2021 including all credit stats, message forum etc. No tasks either. Not a good sign if they intend to be ready for the BOINC Pentathlon as they claimed to be the marathon project before the "upgrade" to the project servers. |

new apps I read on Einstein that YES if you choose the 02 gpu tasks you will get the new 03 gpu tasks instead but they are still called the 02 gpu tasks. I have no clue how those hours will be sorted out for our stats here. |

new apps That didn't work for me. What DID work was: 1) Select one of the CPU-ONLY apps. Note that is CPU and not GPU. (I chose the first option, "Binary Radio Pulsar Search (Arecibo)".) 2) Select YES for the "Use Nvidia/AMD GPU" type and NO for "Use CPU". The combination of #1 and #2 effectively means you have nothing selected. 3) Select YES for "Allow non-preferred apps". This allows you to grab the 03ASE tasks which don't seem to yet have a selection box on the preferences screen. Doing this, I got over 200 oif the O3ASE GPU tasks and none of the other tasks. new apps This is how I've gotten tasks for apps that are not listed as E@H before. Select the processor type and an app that does not have that processor. |

I had chosen "Run test applications?: YES" but not "Allow non-preferred apps: YES" Well that profile is ready for the next time. I see from looking at your apps list, WUprops is not going to count the beta version as a separate app, so we're just getting a head start on the WU's. Thanks for the tip; the WU's are flowing to my R9-280x (just 4 WU completely fill it's 3GB RAM). Sergey Kovalchuk:

The URL is definitely https://boinc.nanohub.org/nanoHUB_at_home/ and I'm running units to get my 100k credit now. Looks like 2 users (tt2012tt and Fardringle) got over 50k credit in that WU release. Science United (is it that all one person's computers?) maybe got all 425k of their credit in that release. https://boinc.nanohub.org/nanoHUB_at_home/top_users.php I doubled my credit to 12k! Had a massive 472 RAC! |

That’s correct. Turning the beta flag on or off doesn’t make it a different app. However, the word “engineering†probably does. These tasks are not real data from the third observation series. When we start processing real data, the app name will probably change, and I suspect that might count as a separate app. Want to find one of the largest known primes? Try PrimeGrid. It's good to see that it's very successful. |

Yup, E@H has done that in the past. Einstein@Home Gravitational Wave All-sky search on LIGO O1 Open Data Einstein@Home Gravitational Wave Engineering run on LIGO O1 Open Data |

So we better start banging them out if we want our 100 hours |
