Ok. There seem to be 40 available at the moment but I don't get them. I tried to set up an app_config setting the number of GTCL to 0 but there is no app name yet for the boinc2docker files so that didn't work. So maybe I have to wait a bit until they maybe implement a selection setting. |

"set up an app_config setting the number of GTCL to 0" has no effect - zero means default i.e. no limit. it doesn't alter what is fetched anyway - the server decides that at present. |

Anybody know why GoofyX Monkeys v1 is showing as active? I don't see anything in the auto news about it being active. Active or not active depends on whether there's been recently run tasks in that app, as reported by the WUProp tasks. That leaves just two possibilities: 1) A bug at WUProp. I consider this unlikely since it's only affecting that one app. 2) Somebody, somewhere, either restored a backup of their BOINC directory, or booted a long-inactive disk drive which havened to have a BOINC installation that was running GoofyxGrid. When BOINC started up, it resumed running the long-orphaned task, which the next WUProp task reported to the server. The server then marked the application as active. There's problems with both theories. Pick whichever one you like best. Want to find one of the largest known primes? Try PrimeGrid. Or help cure disease at WCG. |

Anybody know why GoofyX Monkeys v1 is showing as active? I don't see anything in the auto news about it being active. I'm going with #1 because I was running the GPUGrid Ligand tasks just a couple days ago and they've been showing up in RED for a month now. 33349523 27423578 598271 10 Mar 2023 | 18:04:28 UTC 11 Mar 2023 | 18:03:09 UTC Error while computing 33.13 1.95 --- ATM: Free energy calculations of protein-ligand binding v1.13 (cuda1121) 33344443 27423586 598271 8 Mar 2023 | 9:21:08 UTC 10 Mar 2023 | 18:04:28 UTC Completed and validated 103,005.11 101,092.10 750,000.00 ATM: Free energy calculations of protein-ligand binding v1.13 (cuda1121) 33344442 27423585 598271 8 Mar 2023 | 9:21:08 UTC 11 Mar 2023 | 21:20:06 UTC Completed and validated 5,061.71 4,893.61 750,000.00 ATM: Free energy calculations of protein-ligand binding v1.13 (cuda1121) 33343680 27423563 598271 7 Mar 2023 | 17:40:10 UTC 7 Mar 2023 | 17:49:07 UTC Error while computing 55.60 1.87 --- ATM: Free energy calculations of protein-ligand binding v1.13 (cuda1121) |

new app at Rosetta@home - "Rosetta Beta" - as usual you can't select the apps you want there - no work showing as available, but i did manage to pick up a solitary resend |

Primegrid has restarted cpu apps for Genefer15 4.03 (cpuGFN15_mt) in the Generalized Fermat Prime Search tasks section. |

Primegrid has restarted cpu apps for Genefer15 4.03 (cpuGFN15_mt) in the Generalized Fermat Prime Search tasks section. This doesn't really affect WUProp, since it's the same app, just different app_versions. GFN-15 also has apps now for Intel ARC, ARM, and Apple M1. Want to find one of the largest known primes? Anybody know why GoofyX Monkeys v1 is showing as active? I don't see anything in the auto news about it being active. Might have been me. I was building a Windows X BOINC VM and decided to start up an old version of my AntiX Linux VM and also a laptop HD cloned into a VM called 'Games' that I made for things like Black n White or NWN v1. If not me, I'd still choose option 2. |

Question for Michael Goetz: Is Composite Grid exporting to Free-DC? The website has me with 3.9m credit, but I don't have evidence of ever doing a WU for dev.primegrid.com, so guessing that you cloned the main site to the dev site and got my credit from my prior history? I don't see a setting for exporting results. EDIT: Looked at the Free-DC All Projects page and don't see Composite Grid in archived or current so guessing no export or I'm not using that section correctly. https://stats.free-dc.org/index/#boinc_projects |

it doesn't export on purpose. it's a clone and they need people that test on the rare occasions there is something that needs testing, rather than hours hunters :-) this is why Michael has previously asked that hours not be counted for it here either. |

Question for Michael Goetz: Free-dc (and probably every other stats site) knows (or should know) not to use stats from CompositeGrid. Off the top of my head I don't know if the export directory is accessible or not, but the stats that are there, if there are any, are useless. Dev uses a copy of the live database, so what you see there is what you had on PrimeGrid about half a year ago. Want to find one of the largest known primes? Try PrimeGrid. Rosetta has 4500+ Rosetta Beta tasks, and that's ALL they have right now so if you want your hours now is the time to jump on them!! mikey |

This is probably better posted at PrimeGrid forums but it's also relevant here: The Cullen/Woodall (Sieve), as GPU apps go, has really nice characteristics. Been stress testing them on an EVGA GTX 1060 and an TriX R9-280x. They use about 0.02 CPU each on 16 thread 2700x, which is bare minimum. It seems they move into VRAM a shared set of libraries amounting to about 200MB, then each WU needs about 75MB per. These WU do drain more power on both cards at identical Afterburner settings (85W ave vs 41W for Milkyway on the 280x). |

Ithena Computational has 15k Hex WU's up. I have 5000+ hours on that WU and still not broken 50k credit. Very small credit per hour. |
