I have a few machines that have more than one GPU in them. Most of them do not have the same GPU either. So, my question is, how do you determine the results if GPU 1 starts a work unit, suspends, then the work units starts again on GPU 2? I have seen this happen at many projects I support. The cards are vastly different in capabilities. For example: Collatz now has various sized apps. Their Large work units can take a while to process. I had a 9600GT start the work unit, but as it had been suspended a few times due to activity, eventually the 650 Ti took over and finished it. So, when you report stats on performance does this get fairly represented?

slightly OT...

This made me laugh when I thought about CreditNew. Probably not an issue with GPUs...but I wonder how would Boinc benchmark a multi, dissimilar processor system?

I thought the tasks of most projects would error out if they were transported between different systems--say, on a Linux USB key?
