I installed a SSL certificate on server. Most of hosts can attach via the secure url: https://wuprop.boinc-af.org/.
If you use an old version (before 7.2) or an old OS, I recommend you use old URL: http://wuprop.boinc-af.org/

After switching most of my hosts to the https address a few days ago they are now being prompted to go back.

I'm getting the same error on Win 10 and Ubuntu 16.04. Both OSes are running BOINC 7.6.33 x64

I'm also seeing this annoyance after switching to the SSL-enabled site. The following continually repeats as a new notice in BOINC manager.

WUProp@Home: Notice from BOINC

I'm on BOINC 7.6.31 x64 on Ubuntu 16.04 if it matters.

There is a setting in the boinc server front end to alert users of an address to stop using after ## amount of time on a change , usually used for non ssl to force users to move to ssl. This must be reverse. You should if you had not planned to already , force your users to migrate to ssl after a few weeks dropping the non ssl port 80 default. As a project that gets information from other projects WU ensuring the security of data from your projects crunchers to your servers should be priority.

I removed WUProp today. Tired of seeing this ridiculous notice all the time in my BOINC.
