Like the title says since I updated to ANDROID BOINC V 7.18.0 on my cellphone all tasks error out as invalid. I see LOTS OF ERROR MESSAGE in the stderr output for the WuProp tasks such as: Task 107427708 17:21:31 (1605): Mise en veille (derniere requete date de moins de 30 secondes Host ID 161927 Phone is a Motorola Moto G6 Running Android 3.18.120-perf-gfb8faa3398e9 (Android 9) |

I have noticed that the One which has completed is <Data collect version 5 v5.07 (android_arm_pie)> I have another of these nearing completion The three that have crashed are, <Data collect version 5 v5.03 (android_arm_non_pie)> But, looking at your android phone's tasks I see that that isn't helpful and not statistically significant for mine yet either. |

Did either of you post in the Boinc betatest email list? It might be helpful to see your posts in there so others can figure out what's wrong. |

This is an Alpha version and every version since 7.14.1 has various issues. I'm still using 7.4.53 which is rock solid on everything from Android 4.42 to Android 10. Pete |

I have only just joined this project in response to the OP's thread. I have as I say, had one task complete and expect a second to do so shortly. Before posting on the testing list, I want to be sure of what I am reporting. |

After some more testing, I think I found the problem with WuProp ERRORING out and becoming INVALID on the new Android build for the "can't connect to Unix domain socket" error message. SOLUTION: DISABLE REMOTE MONITORING - GUI_RPC in the Android client. Ran task # 107461566 with remote monitor enable to start, then DIABLED it and let it finish the task and it VALIDATED and reported hours hours on WuProp. 21:09:48 (9759): Mise en veille (derniere requete date de moins de 30 secondes I will run one or more tasks with remote monitoring disabled. |

That's very good, I hope it stays working for you It would be nice if it works WITH REMOTE MONITORING ENABLED. That's one of the New features and one reason I am Alpha testing. |

I was just talking to one of the BOINC developers about this. I don't know how and why WUProp uses this socket His opinion is that WUProp shouldn't be using domain sockets like that. Want to find one of the largest known primes? Try PrimeGrid. Or help cure disease at WCG. |
