My wife Passed Away last Saturday @ 4:50am after being quiet sick the last 4-5 years. In a way I think she's in a better place & can rest easy now without all the pain. I was her caretaker & home up until 2 days before she passed away as she got so bad I couldn't care for her anymore & called 911 for a ambulance.

At the hospital they determined she had Pneumonia, also Failed Kidneys which were sending toxins to her brain (Why at the end she was a coma-state & couldn't talk or open her eyes). They had her on a heavy duty CPAP Machine & it was the only thing keeping her alive until I decided to put her on Hospice Comfort Care. I asked them why don't they put her on dialysis for the Kidney Failure & Toxins going to her brain & they said they couldn't because she wasn't strong enough to take & the only thing that was keeping her alive then way the overdose of oxygen they were pumping into her. I didn't want her to suffer anymore & decided to start her on the Hospice Care, she passed away 12 hours later, she was awake but unable still unable to talk & then passed away with a smile on her face. She's gone but will never be forgotten ... Understandably I've been preoccupied the last several weeks & may get a little testy at times, just ignore it ...

Thanks Z & Vaughn ... I need a Million Dollars lol ... Still waiting on the Death Certificates so I can deal with the SS People & the GM Benefits People ... I Donated her clothes to different charities & took most of her gold & silver sterling jewelry to a Gold buyers store, they said "I set the record for the amount of gold & silver sterling brought in" I said "No my wife set the record" ...

Lol, my late father used to tease the waitress when we went out to dinner... When they came with the check to pay and asked if there was anything else they could get us, he would put a little smirk on his face and tell them "I'll take a big stack of $20 bills if you have any!" It always got a good laugh from the waitress and probably made their day or evening a bit better.

I always tell any checkout person that asks if I found everything I needed No & they always ask what couldn't I find. I tell them "I couldn't find that pot of gold I've been looking for" it usually gives them a laugh or 2 ...

Sad news STEVE, and you have my condolences.
She will always be with you. It's amazing the dreams, people, things and general, "why did I do that?" that will always give you a reminder. My mom visits me a lot in dreams, and some of her idioms she used to tell us and phone calls (she called all of us kids daily the weekend before she died, because she wanted to make sure we all visited her before the end of the weekend, which we did).. Dad is often a flag waving (he was in WWII), seeing newsprint (he loved to read the paper) and whenever I drive longer distances, he sits there making sure I am fine (my mom and wife never drove). Mom and dad have been gone for a very long time.
Smile to her when she does come by, because it shows how much she loved and still loves you.
