As stated I have "Problems with SSD or USB Drives over 500 MB" ... When I copy folders to any USB Drives over 500 MB I lose the information when I unplug & the replug in the drives. I've tried Win 10 & Win 11 both & it happens on bot OS's. I ether lose the information or if I try to copy a large amount say 50gb of information some of the information gets copied but a lot of it doesn't get copied ... If I stay at or under 500gb the information gets copied okay & stays on the drive even if I unplug it & replug it back in again ... https://signature.statseb.fr/sig-1323.png https://stats.free-dc.org/badgesbanner.php?cpid=13a87c3a303bcdca4ba0ed600daebb6b |

Do you use the safe remove feature or do you just unplug them?

Do you use the safe remove feature or do you just unplug them? I don't know nuttin about a safe removal procedure ... lol ... I may have not formated the ssd drive before trying to use it, now that I formated it it seems to be okay. Their 20TB SSD Drives, I have a couple 2TB USB Sticks that won't hold the info for nothing. https://signature.statseb.fr/sig-1323.png https://stats.free-dc.org/badgesbanner.php?cpid=13a87c3a303bcdca4ba0ed600daebb6b |

Do you use the safe remove feature or do you just unplug them?I don't know nuttin about a safe removal procedure Than that's likely the reson, you remove the drive before Windows completed writing the data to it. Simply google "windows remove usb device", there are hundreds of tutorials including videos on how to do this. If it fails the first time with an error message, than it means the file transfer and/or other file system operations are not completed and you need to wait 1-2 minutes, than it usually works on the 2nd attempt. And no, it's not OK to remove USB drives without using this even if lots of people claim that nonsense since decades, that might have not caused much trouble in the past with small FAT32 formated drives, but for any NTFS formated drive it's a must, in particullar SSDs, which might be still busy with some garbage collection and wear leveling stuff.

Even using the safe mode to unplug the ssd drive it still messes up & loses the data. The data will be there but once I let the ssd drive sit for awhile the data will be gone again, so I don't even have to eject the ssd drive for it to lose the data, just keeps telling me "unspecified error" when I do a disk check ... https://signature.statseb.fr/sig-1323.png https://stats.free-dc.org/badgesbanner.php?cpid=13a87c3a303bcdca4ba0ed600daebb6b |

Than it's likely a bad drive if it looses the data even when pluged in. The data will be there but once I let the ssd drive sit for awhile the data will be gone againIs it really there or does just the file system show it as there? If it's not readable directly after writing, than it might also be a fake drive which doesn't have the stated capacity. Was it perhaps too cheap to be true? Either way, you likely need to replace the drive. There are also tools to check the health status of a drive. Like CrystalDiskInfo or HDDScan (works for SSDs too) for example and many other, which will write data to the drive and checks wether it's written correctly or not.

It's brand new drive, I ordered 2 20TB SSD Drives, I'll try the other one & see what happens ... The other one is just as bad, I copied 74gb to it but only 44gb actually shows up ... https://signature.statseb.fr/sig-1323.png https://stats.free-dc.org/badgesbanner.php?cpid=13a87c3a303bcdca4ba0ed600daebb6b |

What drives are that? Where did you buy them and how much did you pay? Are they connected via USB? If yes, than run something like this to check wether they are really 20TB and if they function properly. It will likely show errors, you should return the drives then since they are new. You might also try another USB port (not front USB, one directly on the motherboard, front USB ports are another thing, which might cause errors like this).

Did you confirm the actual size of the drive(s) partition before formatting? The "Delay Write Cache" feature should also be DISABLED for all your drives. See link below. It can also be causing your errors if those SSD are really what they claim to be. How to Enable or Disable Disk Write Caching - MajorGeeks Here's another great free tool ValiDrive you can use to verify the actual size of the SSD. Quickly spot-check any USB mass storage drive for fraudulent deliberately missing storage. . |

Remember just like Linux Windows caches the writes, so if you are transferring ALOT of data to the 2tb drives it could still be in the 'cache writing' phase and the file isn't really there. I download OS's thru Linux and DistroWatch to my pc and then copy them to a 64gbUSB stick and even though it seems to be done it can still be blinking for another 2 or 3 minutes, then eventually a note will pop up saying 'it's okay to safely remove the USB drive'. |

ValiDrive shows their only 32gb SSD Drives but I've had as much as 150gb stored on them without losing data so who's t know what they really are. I talked to the people who sold them & they agreed to give me a 50% refund which they already have, seeing as they were shipped from China it would cost me more to ship them back them than it was to buy them so I'll take the refund & make the most out of them as I can. I'll try a 1 TB Scandisk from Amazon, at least if that's fraudulent it's easy to get my money back ... https://signature.statseb.fr/sig-1323.png https://stats.free-dc.org/badgesbanner.php?cpid=13a87c3a303bcdca4ba0ed600daebb6b |

I talked to the people who sold them & they agreed to give me a 50% refund+ they were shipped from China Seems like you got bamboozled. If the product were legit they would either: a) ask for serious proof that they are duds and either give a full refund or weasel out of it b) be good guys and give a full refund, no questions asked 50% refund is just enough to make you give up without feeling too bad about it and they still made a hefty profit.
