I have quite a few machines that have been blocked from accessing this project for unknown reasons. The symptoms include being unable to upload results, failing to start new tasks after resetting, and being unable to re-add the project after deletion. These hosts have been participating in this project for many years, and I don't know why they have been blocked from access. What channels are available to lift the restriction?

Assuming you fixed the problem that caused the ban in the first place, then just wait. The project will automatically unban the machine within 24-48 hours. |

How can I know when the ban will end? For example, for this device. https://wuprop.boinc-af.org/show_host_detail.php?hostid=140821

https://wuprop.boinc-af.org/show_host_detail.php?hostid=140821 is not banned anymore, otherwise there would have been a red text next to "Computer information" telling you that. Currently none of your computers is banned, if some can't connect, it's likely another issue, the symptoms you listed sound like connection issues to the project.

Now, more than half of my computers cannot connect. I am unable to add projects, upload results, or obtain new tasks.

And now post the log of such connection attempt. Not one single of your computers is banned.

Are those computers, which can't connect on a different public IP adress than those, which can connect? Can you successfully ping wuprop.boinc-af.org from those computers? If you can ping WUprop, then post again the log of a connection attempt, but with http_debug enabled in cc_config.xml. Actually, in case you didn't try it yet, I'd simply shut the affected computers down, reboot the router, than start them up again before trying anything else.

If any of them have this reset the project. I had this today and had it on random PCs for awhile but I haven't had any for some time WUProp@Home 8/14/2025 3:33:04 PM Scheduler request to https://wuprop.boinc-af.org/wuproj_cgi/cgi failed: Server returned nothing (no headers, no data) |

I tried resetting the project, but after that, this computer couldn't get new tasks. When I deleted the project and tried to add it again, the attempt to add the project failed.

Not related to the issue freestman has. My error has nothing to do with the downtime. I said it's happened before. |

If any of them have this reset the project. I had this today and had it on random PCs for awhile but I haven't had any for some time I experience this message only on my Linux computer about once a month, especially after the project servers have been off-line for whatever length of time. What I do is stop & exit BOINC, reboot computer & restart BOINC. Then it's fine until the next CloudFlare or servers burping. |

A project reset takes 2 seconds and a task downloads immediately. No other work is lost between checkpoints. |

If any of them have this reset the project. I had this today and had it on random PCs for awhile but I haven't had any for some time I get the same error regularly on Linux hosts (two times last week for example). Restarting boinc client is enough to fix, until the next case. It happens only with this project, other projects work fine. No, reboot or project reset is not needed. No, it is not Cloudflare or project server "burping", otherwise local restart wouldn't help. Yes, it is getting annoying, I do not want to babysit computer 24/7. |
