Message 6351 - Posted: 7 Nov 2018, 14:01:51 UTC - in response to Message 6325.

October did not have a huge number of applications but a number have been added to peoples lists. However the list has changed with people in and people out. How many were you able to snag and build up 100 hours+ on to get a new star?

Lets see how you fared last month.

Bok's "Free-DC" web site shows your hours and how you rank against others (you must allow for the hours export in you account preferences, there is no security problems as no one can access your account).
Just allow the export and as you pass 180 applications I can add you to this list.

Since last month

NOSTROMUS seems to have stopped WUProp and has been removed from the list.
B.Johansson is in fact running WUProp and is back on the list.
Maurice Goulois shows signs he could be running WUProp again, not sure.
emoga is also running WUProp so is back on the list.
[AF>Amis des Lapins]Xe120 stays on the list as I found him this month.
Found [AF>WildWildWest]Sebastien as well this month with no trouble.
My PM to Tuna Ertemalp must of worked as his results are validating again now, with hours being added again.
A number of people added 2 and 3 extra applications for the month, but again [SG-FC] dingdong managed to add the most with 5 new applications.
One new member this month Skyman.

I think a special mention should be made about Cruncher Pete and how he seems to love to keep me on my toes as to what his name will be next month. I currently have recorded 9 different names for him (currently Cruncher Pete [Anguillan Pirate]), gotta be a record surely.
You sure keep me guessing that is for sure, glad to see you having fun with it.

Some people have improved their badge levels with new stars added.

Onward we march to add even more applications.

A bit of movement on the list but not a lot.

Bok has created a new listing which can help you find apps to run, you have to allow the data export so he can gather information for you.

Congratulations to all the people who earned new badges, well done.

I hope I didn't miss anybody, and I hope I got everyone's names correct, scanning the stats list to find people and going in and counting all their apps does take time. Placing them in this list takes even longer.

Working on changing the colours of the stars I have, oh and adding a few more applications where I can.

On-wards with the fun.

Your welcome mmonnin,
dingdong has been chasing some applications and been finding them, good on him.
If I added VM work to my list I could add a heap of apps too, maybe one day?

A few new applications for November and more to come with GoofyxGrid@Home CPU starting to add a couple new apps with up to a total of 20 to be added over time.
The list has changed with people in and people out. How many were you able to snag and build up 100 hours+ on to get a new star?

Just allow the export and as you pass 180 applications I can add you to this list.

Since last month

B.Johansson is back off the list as all has gone quite.
fthibaud0001 is off the list as appears to be no longer running WUProp/BOINC.
stasieks also seems to be no longer running WUProp/BOINC so removed from list.
shiva has been added back on the list as now exporting data again.
aendgraend has allowed data export for the 1st time and is added to the list.
A number of people added 2 and 3 extra applications for the month, with shiva adding 4 new apps since last appearing on the list, but this months winner for the most applications added is [AF>Le_Pommier] Jerome_C2005, who has added 7 new applications.

Four new members this month and one returned member

Cruncher Pete [Anguillian Pirate] is back to just Cruncher Pete this month.

Finally, App 180 got over 100 Hours. Took long enough. Now I should be visible on your list too.

If i take my stats on free-dc I guess I am a BOINC nerd. Sum of running and old Projects: Over 130..!

G'Day Lupus, you are well in front of me, as I only have 99 projects listed.

I will be doing the list possibly today, bit slow over the Christmas/New Year period.

G'Day Shadak,

New applications get added all through the year, and new projects get created as well, for instance GoofyxGrid@Home CPU is planning on creating 20 applications when he is fully up and running, he only has a couple so far.

So don't despair, you must remember that most have been running projects for years so have been picking up new applications for the last few years now not just 1 year.

There was a bit of movement leading up to the holiday period at the end of the year, with some getting a number of new applications.
The list has changed with people in and people out. How many applications were you able to snag and build up 100 hours+ on to get a new star?

Lets see how you fared last month.

Bok's "Free-DC" web site shows your hours and how you rank against others (you must allow for the hours export in you account preferences, there is no security problems as no one can access your account).
Just allow the export and as you pass 180 applications I can add you to this list.

Since last month

Alexis Kravtchenko no longer seems to be running WUProp so has been removed from the list.
morgan is off the list as has blocked data export.
Bryan is back on the list after allowing data export.
Scole of TSBT has been added back on the list as now exporting data again.
A number of people added 2 and 3 extra applications for the month, with Bryan adding 4 new apps since last appearing on the list, joe carnivore adding 4, [SG-FC] dingdong adding 4, conf[MM] adding 5 and Jerzy_Przytocki managed to add 6 new applications last month.
Scole of TSBT has been absent from the list for a while now but has been busy whilst off the list, he left having 209 apps, comes back with 261 apps, having added 52 applications during his absense.

Five new members this month and two returned members

Cruncher Pete is now Captain Kidd this month. A pirate to be sure.
You sure keep me guessing that is for sure, glad to see you having fun with it.

Some people have improved their badge levels with new stars added.

Great to see some first timers on the list, it's good to see how they rank.

Placing them in this list takes even longer (hours).

Working on changing the colours of the stars I have, oh and adding a few more applications where I can.

On-wards with the fun.

(This data was recorded 2 days ago, I have just gotten round to doing the list. If you now have more apps than I am showing it will be because of this reason)

Nice to see me around there also. ;-)
I didn't know such a list existed, because I'm mostly not looking much at Free-DC - I must admit although it is probably the most detailed stats site I know of your site looks and feels very complicated and confusing to me and I'm lost there most of the time... ;-)

@Shadak:
Well, some of us are here since the year BOINC started from the very beginning and entered every project which was possible. If you're going to be around at least 10 or 15 years you "might" be able to catch up since some of the high peakers may go inactive sooner or later. ;-)
But it also depends on how new apps and projects are coming and going in the future.
From my personal point of view I believe BOINC is on the descending branch since years, there are not that much active projects currently anymore since it was some years ago - and the number of really active users is only a small percentage of all listed ones - not even a quarter million. Not very enthusiastic, I know, but who knows what the future brings...

Well we have settled into the New Year, people in and out of the list, a number of new applications added and Projects as well.

Cyph3r no longer seems to be running WUProp so has been removed from the list.
Bryan is back off the list after stopping data export.
Scole of TSBT has been removed again from the list as has stopped data export again.
Stasieks is back on the list as seems to be running WUProp again.
Buckey has not been added to the list as he has stopped running WUProp after getting to 180 apps.
Senilix returns to the list after a long absence.

Last month there were eight new people and two returning added to the list.
A number of people added 2 and 3 extra applications for the month, with Cruncher Pete adding 4, fzs600 adding 4, [SG-FC] dingdong adding 4, Odd-Rod also adding 4, Sabroe_SMC added 5, [AF>Amis des Lapins] Nabz37 added 9 and =Lupus= adding 10 new applications.

Senilix has been absent from the list for a while now but has been busy whilst off the list, leaving with196 apps, comes back with 261 apps, having added 65 applications during his absence.

Eight new members this month and two returned members

Captain Kidd is back to Cruncher Pete this month. Maybe a pirate that is settling down?
You sure keep me guessing that is for sure, glad to see you having fun with it.

Some people have improved their badge levels with new stars added.

Great to see some first timers on the list, it's good to see how they rank.

Onward we march to add even more applications.
