I see the 123numbers /VDW Numbers website has been restored but there's still a few problems with it:
1) NO HTTPS
2) CAN'T LOGIN
3) LOTS OF 404 ERRORS WHEN CLICK LINKS - INCLUDING LOGIN.

I see the 123numbers ...

123numbers is a static copy of the project, there are only html files, no real project, possibly a phishing resource

dynamic content (i.e. a real BOINC server) is on the site vdwnumbers
but there is a problem - the WEB server does not handle php
if you still have hosts connected to the project, they will receive tasks

I also have an impression that we really write about two different projects judging by the description of problems and symptoms.
On Free-DC the list of potential applications also contains two identical projects with live stats (I only got into one of them)

about vdwnumbers

the project distributes tasks like ZipPrimes_9999_plus_...
the task requires 1862M of memory and swap
if there is enough memory, it will be computed in an hour
if there is not enough memory, it will rustle with swap
if you start more tasks - immediately allocation error

this is on linux, on windows there are errors even on 8Gb

I have no problem with sending results, but there is no way to check on the site

The server creates new records for the hosts.
but I have to manually tuck in the account file and then enter the scheduler address

Another way is to clone a connected host.
It will create a new record for the host on the first connection

It has 1000 tasks ready to send right now but only if you are already signed up there, I tried logging in and it came up with a 404 error so I tried creating an account and the same 404 error came up not allowing me to create an account.

LOL, not exactly sure what pain you mean, but regarding apps under 100 hours I have 73 if I have counted correctly now, which would mean 3 bronze stars more at least currently. :-O
That's much, but I guess, there could be people which have more.
Well, that's not really a pain for me, sometimes if you start the hunt you know exactly that you won't get the 100 hours but you do it nevertheless - don't know why it's just an addiction. ;-)

There is a unique chance to close GFN-14 in a couple of days
The project is in its finishing spurt, and the participants are rushing to complete the statistics.
Especially since this little thing, even on a weak GPU, can be done in several threads

You also had enough power to "open" anaconda stats on the GPUgrid, so you can get hours on all the other GPU-projects.

A few rare applications have a chance too, if you hunt them down - minecraft, gerasim, sixtracktest
Perhaps there will be new test runs on gaia@home during the transition to catalog #3
And maybe DENIS will come back to life

So I wish you a good hunt ;)

I hope some of those older Projects come back to life again!! I am sad to hear some apps are closing though but I guess it's inevitable based on the search criteria

Can't attach computer(s) most likely because the main database is off-line or missing; forums borked, etc.
Will have to try again later today or whenever the project is fully operational to attach to project.

I saw Doctors message yesterday and was able to get some tasks on several PCs. My old account was there. I had to re-add the project as it couldn't get the master file the 1st time. Just a couple minutes later the site was busted again.

I understand that people who already have accounts can get tasks, but the account creation process, either via the web page or the BOINC client, is broken, so I'm unable to join.
