PGS 13 is ok on mine Mine too, I was talking about the beef@home hours but I know it can take a bit for the stats sites, including wuprop, to let things settle down into some kind of normalcy. |

The beef@home project appeared in the stats :) I haven't managed to get a single wu from climate prediction, not sure why. |

The beef@home project appeared in the stats :) It's a 32 bit app, only for linux, and you're almost certainly running a 64 bit Linux installation. You must install the 32 bit libs, otherwise the BOINC client won't report that it supports that alternate 32 bit Linux platform. That will prevent the CPDN server from sending tasks. Instructions for enabling 32 bit support on Linux can be found here: https://www.cpdn.org/forum_thread.php?id=7828 Note that this will also prevent Linux systems from receiving the WCG Beta GPU apps. Since WCG doesn't have the standard apps.php page, it's a little harder to figure out why you're not getting WCG apps. Want to find one of the largest known primes? Try PrimeGrid. yeah, I know they are always 32bit. I think it's probably something like that as I couldn't explicitly see the libstc compat libraries for my version of centos8. I'll take another look *EDIT* I already did this but still no wu's dnf install glibc.i686 |

But, try this: Add the following to the options section of your cc_config.xml: <alt_platform>i686-pc-linux-gnu</alt_platform> That should force the 32 bit alt-platform to be sent to the server, so you should be able to get tasks if that's indeed the problem. If you're really missing libraries, the tasks will fail, but you should be able to figure out what you're missing once you have the app on the computer. Want to find one of the largest known primes? thanks, guess there may not be any wu's available, but I'll keep trying after enabling that in the config. |

I haven't managed to get a single wu from climate prediction, not sure why. you are an old CPDN user you may have previously set the option to run only selected applications you can't see them now, but they're still there. check your logs for "no tasks for WaH / HadCM3 / HadAM4 apps" try changing your host "venue" or create a new one |

I haven't managed to get a single wu from climate prediction, not sure why. You're assuming the admins left the user preferences set. Any admin with any understanding of how the server works would reset all user's prefs after removing the option to change them. It isn't trivial to do because of the nested XML used for venues, but it's also not rocket science. I'd be very surprised (and very disappointed) if that's what's happening. (Of course, I think removing the preferences settings was an exceptionally unwise and arrogant move, so maybe I'm giving them credit they don't deserve. ::shrug::) That being said, *I* am also a very old CPDN user, and I was around long before the current incarnation of their website. I was able to get these tasks. I only have one venue at CPDN. Want to find one of the largest known primes? Try PrimeGrid. Or help cure disease at WCG. |

So, I ended up creating a 32bit linux VM for this, btu of course there are no wu's and it downloaded some of the HADAM4 at N216. Does anyone have an app_config to just run the HADSM4 in case some return ? |

The GPU version of OPN app has gone live at WCG. From what I can tell it's supposed to be a separate app and uses 'opng' not the 'opn1' used for the CPU app if you use an app_config. |

I've never tried so I don't know what BOINC Mgr would do, but maybe set the app to require like 500 CPU cores. More than you have so it can't run? It sucks when projects don't have app selections. I'm looking at you Rosetta. |

The GPU version of OPN app has gone live at WCG. OpenPandemics - COVID-19 - GPU is announced, but the hours worked are not counted probably the Intel GPU version of the app has not been added |

OpenPandemics - COVID-19 - GPU is announced, but the hours worked are not counted Sheesh, they should make selection of GPU apps easier. Took me a while to figure out how to only get GPU work, it's not in the normal project preferences at least... CUDA does work so far: World Community Grid OpenPandemics - COVID-19 - GPU 0.10 0.10 However, this was only one task so far. Got nothing new since then, there seems to be no more work yet... beef@Home got a new URL: https://www.nodium.net/beefathome Since this will probably lead to a new entry a merging will become necessary... Life is Science, and Science rules. To the universe and beyond Member of BOINC@Heidelberg My BOINC-Stats |

Thanks, I tried joining beef a while back and it wouldn't let me. This time I was able to join using the new URL. |

Project beef@home (old name boincserver) How'd you know about it? It just showed up for me in Bok's app today. Prime Beef@Home; it's what's for dinner. (Are prine's a new class in number theory?) |
