I have no time to manage correctly the project. So the work generation has been stopped and the project will be offline in a few days. |

This seems abrupt; no one will volunteer to keep the project alive? |

A shame - I am sorry to hear this! Goes for me too!! I hope Sebastien can find someone to take things over, maybe a bit of an explanation of what's required would encourage someone. |

Sorry to hear this, the Project as about the only reason I'm still running BOINC ... And for me, one of the few reasons to run other projects as much. I have a notepad with some BOINC Goal. Most of them are WUProp hours with several credit goals. :( No WUProp will definitely change which project I run, how much I run them and on which PC. I believe WUProp is very good for the BOINC community as a hole as it spreads out some of the user base. WUProp members are often some of the 1st to projects to get hours. W/o WUProp, some newer projects may never really get started. |

This is definitively a terrible news. I completely understand that Sebastien is doing so many (too many) things for boinc - WUProp - StatSeb - SAM - Admin AF portal - Admin AF forum - Signature for BOINC user + what I forget. all this on personal time and passion. A skilled IT / dev maybe take the job, if Seb is willing to give it, but passion and personal time will always be the requisite. |

I have no time to manage correctly the project. Sebastien, Thank you so much for all you've done! Many, many people have explored the great variety of citizen science projects that is BOINC because of you. In turn, the projects -- especially the new ones trying to get started -- have benefited from all the users that have "chased the stars" to those projects. While I am sad that WUProp@Home is ending, I am so very grateful for all the enjoyment it has brought me over the years. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! While I couldn't do the programming necessary for new app versions, etc., I'm willing to host the project and do the forums - I'm pretty sure could get others to contribute their time and cash as well. PLEASE consider handing this off to someone else, rather than just shutting down. I understand if you don't have time to manage it, but it would be a terrible thing for all this effort to go to waste. There's a huge community out here, we can find a way to keep it going "under new management"! |

Please let someone else either help out here or take over the project. I can provide hosting and do it myself if needed. |

Thank you for creating and maintaining WUProp. It is/was a valuable resource to the BOINC community. |

Absolutely heartbroken about the news. Although I couldn’t contribute over the last months, it is safe to say that this was by far the most convenient, fun and informative way of tracking project contributions across the BOINC world. Really sad to see WU Prop go, but it is ultimately an understandable choice Sébastien. Thx for your commitment over the years! |

Everyone be sure to turn on stats export in your wuprop preferences before it dies. Thus way free-dc can keep a record. Reno, NV Team: SETI.USA |

Hello! Was this project opensourced so somebody can continue? Or is there any possibility of somebody else taking over the project? |

Thank you Sebastien for all the work you have done on this project over the years. Thank you for coming up with this project. The information you have been gathering has helped myself and many others in working out if they can run various projects. Knowing how much memory is used by a project is very helpful, plus run times and such. Often the first place to get information about different projects and that gets people to quickly join and get them going. Playing with the stats and chasing the hour goals really made BOINC a lot of fun. My compiled lists while time consuming were fun to do. A lot of people ran so many projects so they could get to that magic 200 applications with 100 hours plus. No way to tell how many hours one runs from now on. So a very big thank you from myself for helping to make running projects fun (even if that was not your original intention). As Michael said, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. Conan |
